Mr. Nguyen Kieu Hon, born in 1991, is a staff member of the Procurement Team at ICV Vietnam Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (a member unit of DEOCA Group). Mr. Kieu Hon joined the DEOCA system in early 2021 and has consistently demonstrated dedication and effort, successfully completing all assigned tasks. Despite being a relatively new employee, he has earned the respect of his colleagues and the trust of leadership, being recognized as an outstanding employee of 2021.
In late 2024, while working at the XL3 Package of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway project, Mr. Kieu Hon experienced a decline in his health. Following medical examinations, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer.
Currently, Mr. Kieu Hon has undergone surgery to remove his bladder and is recovering at his home in Phu Yen, awaiting stable health for further surgery to create a new bladder. As the primary earner of his family and now facing a severe illness, with his wife staying at home as a homemaker and caring for their newborn child, Mr. Hon's medical expenses are substantial. This has placed his family in a significant financial strain, making their daily life extremely challenging.
To alleviate the difficulties faced by Mr. Hon and his family, the Trade Union of DEOCA Group launched a call for contributions from all union members and employees within the system. After 10 days of fundraising, a total of 220,130,000 VND was collected. This generous sum was accompanied by numerous messages of concern, encouragement, and well-wishes for his recovery from the Group's leadership and staff.
Deeply moved by the concern and support from the collective, Mr. Nguyen Kieu Hon expressed his profound gratitude to the Group's leadership, the Trade Union, and all his colleagues who have assisted him during this challenging period. He emphasized that the timely support not only alleviated the significant financial burden for his family but also served as a tremendous source of encouragement for him to continue his battle against the illness.
This initiative once again reaffirms the spirit of unity, mutual support, and compassion within the DEOCA family, empowering one another to overcome all difficulties. In times of adversity, the heartfelt sincerity stemming from the loving hearts of DEOCA individuals shines brightly. Under the roof of DEOCA, employees consistently demonstrate their unity, sharing, and mutual care, truly like a family.
