Vietnam Journalists Association and Deoca Group organized the road inauguration ceremony to the National historic site of Vietnam Journalists Association establishment on this morning (April 25th).

Mr. Ho Quang Loi, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association said that the Association was established 69 years ago (April 21st, 1950) at Roong Khoa Hamlet, Diem Mac Commune, Dinh Hoa District, Thai Nguyen Province. Through many revolutions to protect and develop the country, the Journalists Association has united journalists in the country and other Association-level authorities of the same nature to work toward the common goal of strengthening the country.

According to Mr. Loi, the Vietnam Journalists Association is a political, social, occupational organization, representing journalists, protecting the rights and benefits of its members, contributing to the development of social policy of the State. Currently, the Association has more than 24.000 active members in 63 local branches.

Explaining the reason the road was built, Mr. Loi said that through many decades, the State has recognized the site as a National historic site. However, the dirt road leading to the establishment site of the Journalists Association still remain unpaved, as such, on rainy days, it’s very hard for people to commute. For that reason, the Party Committee and local government of Diem Mac Commune have called for the attention of the Journalists Association on building an access road to the historic site.

“The Journalists Association has cooperated with Deoca Group on funding for road construction. The road inauguration will help the National historic site become a gathering place for journalists,” said Mr. Loi.

According to Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, Chairman of Deoca Group, the unit’s effort in contributing to the construction of access route to the historic site has helped local residents and journalists visiting the historic site more easily, therein reviewing the valiant tradition of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Mr. Luong Van Lanh, Secretariat of Dinh Hoa District (Thai Nguyen) considered how the construction finished on schedule, compliance in aesthetics practice is such a meaningful gift, not only fulfilled real needs of the citizen in the development of new countryside, economic – social aspects but also reflected the tradition to always remember one’s own root of the people of Dinh Hoa District./.
