On August 21, 2023, in Phu Yen, Deoca Tunnel Operation Management Enterprise celebrated the 6th anniversary of putting the Deo Ca tunnel project into operation (August 21, 2017-August 21, 2023).

The ceremony was attended by Mr Tran Chung - an advisor of the Group; Mr Nguyen Tan Dong - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr Nguyen Quang Huy - General Director of Deoca Traffic Infrastructure Investment Company (HHV), and all employees of the Enterprise.

At the ceremony, Mr Nguyen Sy Phuc - Deputy Director of the Enterprise, reported the results of 6 years of management and operation of Deo Ca tunnel. Accordingly, the Enterprise has ensured that nearly 13 million vehicles pass through the tunnel safely and smoothly. Up to now, the average traffic through the tunnel has reached nearly 7,000 vehicles/day and night. Also, the number of vehicles travelling through the pass decreased to 9.4%. In addition, the Enterprise organized rescue operations to promptly handle 72 traffic accidents and four fires on the access road. In particular, in the past six years, there have been no severe traffic accidents, fires, or explosions in the tunnel. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly organize training to improve professional qualifications and corporate ideology and culture so that employees can better understand the business and the Group's development orientation.

Mr Tran Chung also praised: "Ensuring safety for traffic participants is one of the most difficult criteria, but after six years of exploitation and operation, there have not been any accidents happening in the tunnelling. At the same time, he reminded: "Not only does good management and operation, timely rescue, and ensuring the assets of the project, a very important factor is that management and administration skills must always be developed, innovate to ensure the longevity of the project".

Also, at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy shared: "The Board of Directors always wishes that through training programs to foster knowledge for employees to ensure the most optimal project management and operation work."

After the Deo Ca tunnel was put into operation, the time through the tunnel was shortened from 45 minutes on the pass to just over 10 minutes through the tunnel, thoroughly solving and eliminating dangerous black spots that easily cause traffic jams on the Ca pass.
