According to the report of the contractor DEOCA, the whole project site is implementing 43/49 construction works on the site with 1,820 employees and 692 machines. In which priority is given to speeding up the construction of tunnel door critical items. Up to this point, the project site has reached about 85.8%, of which the construction site is 68/88km.

At the entrance of tunnel No. 3 through Hoai Nhon town - the largest of the three tunnels on the route with a length of more than 3km, the contractor said that he had opened the tunnel entrance and was drilling rock.
"We focus on promoting critical tunnel No. 2 with a length of 700m. The contractor plans to build under a new solution, simultaneously deploying six construction teams, which is expected to shorten the implementation time by four months ahead of schedule". Mr. Nguyen Tan Dong said.

In the XL3 package, the section through Hoai Nhon town (Binh Dinh province), Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy said that the locality has handed over the ground, but the construction organization of Truong Long Company and the Bridge and Road Company New Sun on the construction site is not good.
The Deputy Minister asked contractors Truong Long and New Sun to increase personnel and machinery to focus on construction to compensate for the unsatisfactory volume. "The PMU2 and the contractor must build a detailed schedule, make a specific construction plan, strengthen inspection and supervision, and especially monitor the New Sun contractor. Now there are no barriers to slowing the project. The weather is favorable for construction. If you don't do it quickly, how long will you wait while the rainy season is coming?", said the Deputy Minister.
Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway has a total length of 88km, of which 60.3km is in Quang Ngai province, and 27.7km is in Binh Dinh province. On the route, there are three tunnels through the mountains, including 610m long tunnel No. 1, 700m long tunnel No. 2 in package XL2, and a 3,200m long tunnel No. 3 in XL3. Once completed and put into use, tunnel three will become the third longest tunnel in the country, after the Hai Van and Deo Ca tunnels.
