Connecting the two halves of Cua Luc Bridge 3

On September 16, 2023, the two halves of Cua Luc 3 bridge in Ha Long city were joined, marking a significant step towards completing the project by September 30, 2023.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Department of Transport, Department of Construction of Quang Ninh province, and Ha Long City People's Committee. On DEOCA Group's side, Mr. Pham Duy Hieu - Deputy General Director of the Group attended.

DEOCA Group leads a consortium of contractors implementing the Cua Luc 3 bridge project, which is 92% complete according to the Executive Board's report. The investor and contractors are currently focused on finishing the remaining work to meet the committed deadline of September 30, 2023.

Mr. Vo Manh Tai, Director of the Project Executive Board, stated that the Cua Luc 3 project has faced numerous challenges since construction began in September 2020, including route design adjustments to protect the local ecosystem, a 14-month delay in site handover, the prolonged Covid epidemic, and raw material price fluctuations. Despite these difficulties, DEOCA Group and the joint venture contractors have made significant efforts to overcome them and allocate resources effectively for construction.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Duyen, Director of the Construction Investment Project Management Board of Civil and Industrial Works (investor), praised DEOCA Group and the contractors for their determination and efforts in coordinating the Cua Luc 3 bridge project and overcoming various difficulties to ensure project progress.

The Cua Luc 3 Bridge is a key level II traffic project in Quang Ninh province, spanning Dien Vong River and designed with 6 lanes, over 2.6km long. The starting point of the main route at FLC Urban Area in Ha Khanh ward and intersects with National Highway 279 in Thong Nhat commune, Ha Long city.

The project costs 1,402 billion VND from the local budget and will connect Hoanh Bo district with Ha Long city center, improving urban aesthetics and making Cua Luc Bay the new connection center of Ha Long city.

DEOCA Group completed the Love Bridge and Ha Long coastal road projects in Quang Ninh, which connect major urban areas, serve transportation, trade, and tourism, and contribute to perfecting coastal roads in Vietnam.
