On July 14, 2023, bidding package No. 6.12 "Construction and design construction drawings for the connecting route No. 1 and No. 2" of the component project 3 of the Construction Investment Project of Long Thanh International Airport phase 1 has been started.

Accordingly, the consortium led by Deo Ca Group has won the bidding package to build 2 connecting routes with a total length of 7.8km, worth more than 2,630 billion VND, the implementation time is 885 days from the date of commencement.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Khuong Van Cuong - General Director of Deo Ca Group said that in order to speed up the construction, Deo Ca and the members of the consortium took the initiative in preparing enough personnel, machinery, equipment, supplies and essential materials to deploy the bidding package right after the Groundbreaking Ceremony.
The representative of Deo Ca Group affirmed that, with experience in investment, management, and execution of many large-scale and complex projects, Deo Ca will promote the leading role, together with the members of the contractor consortium to bring the package to the destination on time, contributing to the overall success of the transport industry. At the same time, it’s also establishing another important milestone of Deo Ca when participating in the national aviation key project such as Long Thanh International Airport.

However, one of the key elements determining the progress of the project is the site clearance and the source of materials. Up to this point, the ground for Route 1 has been handed over about 70%, the site of Route 2 is expected to be handed over in the near future. Besides, the demand for materials of fill land is about 1 million m3, for sand is about 10,000 m3, for stone about 214,000 m3 also needs a specific plan.
“We hope that local leaders and departments and agencies will pay attention to and resolve the handover of the site to the contractor soon, especially the critical items, creating favorable conditions for the contractor in accessing the construction site, material mines, waste dumps, safety and order in the construction area”, Mr. Cuong said.
Specialized machinery and equipment were mobilized to the construction site to be ready for construction immediately.
Currently, the Ministry of Transport is drastically directing the units to deploy a series of key national transport infrastructure projects, speeding up public investment disbursement. In the past time, the traffic industry has had many positive developments when completing 425/652km of North-South Expressway phase 1. In the coming time, the Ministry, branches and localities work together to remove difficulties to speed up the implementation of the North-South Expressway phase 2. Besides, the overall progress of Long Thanh Airport has also made positive changes with the efforts of the investor Vietnam Airlines Corporation.
