DEOCA consortium received contract for Long Thanh Airport access roads construction

On July 11, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and a contractors' consortium led by DEOCA Group held a ceremony to award the contract to build the route connecting the Long Thanh airport project worth more than 2,630 billion VND.

Accordingly, the consortium, including Deo Ca Group - Thang Long Corporation - Khang Nguyen Infrastructure - Hoang Long Trading and Construction - 368 Construction - Hoang Long Construction Consultant won the package No. 6.12: "Construction and design technical drawings of traffic works connecting route No.1 and No.2" of Component 3 Project of Long Thanh International Airport (phase 1).

There, Mr. Nguyen Tien Viet - Deputy General Director of ACV, highly appreciated the capacity and experience of the contractors' consortium led by Deo Ca Group, which had been proven through large projects implemented nationwide.

"With the experience, capacity, and responsibility of the contractors' consortium, we believe that the project will be completed on schedule and with high quality," affirmed Mr. Nguyen Tien Viet.

DEOCA's General Manager - Mr. Khuong Van Cuong, affirmed that Deo Ca and other contractors in the consortium would bring the package to the destination on time, contributing to the overall success of the transport industry. Thereby, DEOCA would establish another important milestone at Long Thanh International Airport.

"We understand the importance and meaning of this bidding package and commit to completing it with the right quality and schedule as required by the investor," said Mr. Khuong Van Cuong.

The contractors' representative also expressed his expectation that the investor and the supervision consultant would continue to accompany and support the construction process, especially in site clearance and capital disbursement.

Long Thanh International Airport is an important gateway, aiming to become an international transit hub. The project is of great significance to the country's socio-economic development. With a vital scale and role, the investment in building a transport system connecting the airport with the region is absolutely necessary so that passengers and goods can access the airport and, at the same time, ensure the safe and smooth transportation of the airport.

Package 6.12 includes two routes. Route No.1 is 4.3km long, connecting National Road 51 to Long Thanh Airport, with a roadbed width of 45.5m, a road surface width of 25m, and a design speed of 80km/h. Route No.2 is 3.5km long, connecting the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway to route No. 1, with a roadbed width of 10.5m, road surface width of 9.5m, and a design speed of 100km/ H.

The route has three intersections, one cantilever bridge, four hollow slab bridges, and four simple bridges. According to the plan, construction time is 885 days from the construction commencement date, expected to be completed on December 31, 2026.
