Developing leadership skills for middle managers

On June 10, 2023, in Da Nang, a training session on "development of leadership and management skills" has been held for HHV's middle management.

The training session was chaired by Dr. Nguyen Van Sang - Assistant to the Chairman and Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy - General Director of HHV. The program is part of Deoca Group's 2023 internal training plan, aimed at developing executive and management skills for managers to achieve effective work.

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Sang, middle management is an important chain. Because they are both the direct manager and the connector between employees and upper leaders. Therefore, it is very important to master the knowledge and identify the position of itself in the business to perform the right tasks and achieve the goals. When performing their duties well, the middle management can both "liberate" labor for the higher leadership and increase the productivity of direct employees.

With the student-centered training method, taking practical work as examples to analyze and sharing practical experience, including theory, the students had a lively exchange about leadership and management such as roles and functions in the enterprise, required competencies of leaders, etc.

Accordingly, 5 basic management skills include: planning, organizing implementation, making decisions, directing and checking, monitoring and evaluating performance results. The training class also provides knowledge on leadership tools, decision skills, team management skills, etc.

Students exchange practical knowledge

Through the knowledge systemized from the program and the practical sharing of HHV leaders, students can enrich their management knowledge, develop skills, explore strategic orientation, recognize the key factors for successful leadership and management. At the same time, they will understand the method of planning and deploying work reasonably and effectively; enhance communication skills with employees in teamwork, and rationally use the influence of managers in monitoring and evaluating employee performance.
