Prenn Pass officially opened to traffic

The project to upgrade and expand Prenn Pass began on February 10, 2023, with a total investment of 553 billion VND by the joint venture of DCC and HHV. After nearly 1 year of construction, all project elements including road surfaces, lighting, rerouted bridges, guardrails, etc., have been completed on time.

Prenn Pass is 7.4km long, connects Da Lat city with Lien Khuong airport, Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway. This is crucial for travel to Ho Chi Minh city and southern provinces. The narrow, winding mountain pass with a 7m-wide road and 2 lanes poses safety risks due to limited visibility, while heavy traffic flow results in frequent congestion.

Prenn Pass is the gateway to Da Lat City

Expanding the route is important in ensuring traffic safety, unlocking economic and tourism potential for the area.

Prenn Pass is the widest pass in Vietnam

Once finished, Prenn Pass became Vietnam's widest road surface at 14.5m, featuring 4 lanes. Dangerous turns are being straightened, including the notorious "death curve" near Datanla waterfall, enhancing safety along the route.
