HO CHI MINH CITY – LONG THANH EXPRESSWAY EXPANSION PROJECT

Overview

The expansion project of Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh expressway is being urgently implemented to complete Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay corridor, meet increasing transport demand, and enhance connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and Long Thanh International Airport.

The project will expand the existing expressway section from 4 lanes to 8-10 lanes depending on each segment. This is a special grade transport infrastructure project, with a design speed of 120 km/h. The Long Thanh Bridge section is designed for a speed of 100 km/h.

The project is divided into two main construction packages, with Vietnam Expressway Corporation as the investor. The joint venture of DEOCA Group - Trung Chinh - Phuong Thanh - 368 Construction - Khang Nguyen is responsible for Package XL01 (Km4+000 – Km13+900), with a contract value of USD 212million. The construction period is expected to be 18 months.
