Phuoc Tuong - Phu Gia Road Tunnel

Overview

Phuoc Tuong- Phu Gia Road Tunnel is on the National Road 1A- on the section going through Phuc Loc Dist., Thua Thien- Hue Province. The work has the total investment of VND 1,842 billion. It was started on 05/2014 and has been put into operation since 06/2016. This is a project in form of BOT with Phuoc Tuong- Phu Gia BOT J.S Co., as an investor.

The two tunnels are on the National Road 1, 3 kilometers North of Hai Van Road Tunnel. Phuoc Tuong Road Tunnel has a length of 375 meters with the accessing road of 3,550 meters; Phu Gia Road Tunnel has a length of 447 meters with the accessing road of 2,610 meters. Both has the width of 11,5 meters, 2 lanes that allow design speed of 80kph and is able to cope with earthquake up to magnitude 6.

The work is significant in connecting the two cultural- economic centers with high growth rate of the Central Key Economic Zone: Hue and Danang; and it also help solve the problem of traffic safety on the section of the National Road 1.
