On October 25, 2021, Mr. Le Dinh Tho - Deputy Minister of Transport visited and checked the progress of Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway project.
According to the report of the Project Management Board, 44/45km of the road foundation have been completed, 39/45km of ATB asphalt have been completed, 37/45km of C19 asphalt have been completed. In package XL-10, there is still 280m of unloading section which is expected to be unloaded on November 15, 2021 when the technical settlement requirements are met.

“Currently, the project is in the sprint stage, there is about 10km of the road has not yet been asphalted. In October and November, we will complete asphalting of the rest and construct traffic safety systems, signs,…”, Mr. Nguyen Tan Dong - General Director of Trung Luong - My Thuan BOT JSC said.
The Project management board said that up to now, the toll collection scheme of the HCMC - Trung Luong expressway has not yet been approved by the Government and the time for toll collection has not been determined. Therefore, when Trung Luong - My Thuan project is completed at the end of 2021, it will not be able to operate because the toll system has not been connected to the HCMC - Trung Luong section to deploy toll collection.
Although the epidemic situation is complicated, causing many difficulties, the Group always ensures the set work progress. The problems at the Project have been handled such as contractors behind schedule, slippage material prices...
Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway has completed 85% of the progress
Mr. Nguyen Tan Dong said that the project went through a particularly difficult geological area, the Management Board actively invited experts to research and conduct technical treatment. In order to solve the problem of raw materials shortage and escalating prices, the BOD actively searched for suppliers and signed price stabilization contracts. The company also reviews and removes and replaces the contractors which are incompetent and do not have enough resources.
After listening to the report of the Project Management Board, Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho highly appreciated the capacity of Deo Ca Group for ensuring the schedule as planned despite of the raging epidemic
“Deo Ca is now a pioneer force, maintains the construction work and has done very well despite the pandemic, especially in managing people. This is also a practical experience, although the epidemic froze most of the activities, Deo Ca still managed to do it and complete the set goals," said Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tho.
On the issue of collecting the project's payback fees, the Deputy Minister said that he would consult with the leaders of the Ministry of Transport to collect inter-line fees with HCMC – Trung Luong expressway and use ETC toll collection to ensure transparency...
Recently, the investors and contractors faced difficulties due to covid and not enough capital to participate in the project. In order not to affect the overall progress and keep the goal of completing the project by the end of this year, serving people during the 2022 Lunar New Year, Deo Ca Group has advanced an additional 500 billion VND for the project.
