On 17/01/2020, Minister Nguyen Van The led the delegation of the Ministry of Transport came to the package XL06 of DCG contractor at Than Cuu Nghia intersection to visit, encourage and give New Year’s greeting for the workers at Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway construction site. Accompanying the delegation of the Ministry of Transport were Mr. Le Van Huong - Chairman of Tien Giang province and leaders of Tien Giang Department of Transport.
When the Tet’s atmosphere came all over every houses, engineers and workers here were still working hard. Currently, all 24/24 packages are under construction for the whole route, accumulated value of nearly 30% of the construction progress. Minister Nguyen Van The applauded the workers’ hard working spirit, not afraid of difficulties, constructing 3 shifts/day, working tirelessly even during holidays. The Minister presented Tet gifts to workers on the construction site as well as encouraged them to work effectively and reach high quality throughout Tet holiday.

In 2020, Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway project continues to implement the main construction items including: Road foundation, soft ground treatment, culvert, bridge, road surface, traffic management center and toll booths.

In order to ensure the connection route schedule by the end of 2020, all officers, engineers and workers in the project will devote their all efforts to construction, including their Tet holidays. The connection of the route will partially solve the traffic congestion issue when motorbikes and cars will be controlled and allocated free routes on the occasion of New Year Tan Suu 2020. The project is expected to be completed and put into official operation in 2021 when the soft ground is handled.
Although faced with pressure of progress when the time is tight, the Group requires the BOD must closely control construction quality, putting quality first.
The difficulties of Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway project have been gradually removed. Millions of people in the Mekong Delta is awaiting with hope and confidence that the project will be a bright spot connecting traffic for the whole region.
