In the morning of September 25, 2019, Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong, Chairman of People's Committee of Lang Son province, directly checked the progress of construction and preparation work for the inauguration ceremony of the Bac Giang - Lang Son highway project.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong highly appreciated the efforts of investors and contractors in bringing the project from the underdeveloped project to the resumption and now basically complete over 90% of the total workload ensuring satisfactory quality within only 2 years.

2 years ago, when changing the investor of Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway, this expressway was not developed because the ground clearance was unfinished. However, two years later, upon effective participation against site clearance of Lang Son province, the capacity of investors, along with the support from credit capital of banks, the investor has arranged a financial resource of about VND 10,000 billion to basically complete the entire road.
Preparation work for the inauguration ceremony has been urgently coordinated by involed parties and the Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee highly appreciates this effort.
Before that, on September 24th, 2019, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The also directly checked the construction quality of the Bac Giang - Lang Son highway before technical inspection.
Speaking at the site, Minister Nguyen Van The said that through the process of checking the construction quality, the paved section was relatively smooth enabling vehicles to travel on the such section easily. However, there are still some small unfinished items such as signs, reflective paint, ... Besides, due to site clearance and construction are carried out in parallel and some sections have not been cleaned up, so the travel is not completely smoothly.
“In the coming time, investors need to continue finishing the remaining items so that Bac Giang - Lang Son highway becomes one of the main highways ensuring quality, progress and aesthetics, procuring service for the local socio-economic development process”, the Minister said.
Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway is 64km long, starting at Km45 + 100 (intersecting with National Highway 1 in Mai Sao commune, Chi Lang district, Lang Son province) and ending at Km108 + 500, connecting with the end of National Highway 1 Hanoi - Bac Giang section. The road has a width of 25m, including 4 lanes and 2 emergency stopping lanes, with a design speed of 100 km/h.

Up to now, the expressway has basically completed the entire road surface. Contractors are speeding up with the construction stage for traffic safety items, road markings, guard rails system ... It is expected that the road will be taken technical inspection on September 29th, 2019, and will be completed and put into use by 2020.
