On May 19, 2021, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang - Chairman of the Board of Management of Deo Ca Group visited the construction site to evaluate the work at Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway project.
Currently, the South is entering rainy season, so as not to affect the quality and progress, contractors are trying to gather supplies, materials, machinery and equipment and organize working all day and night to speed up the progress.

According to the report of the Board of Directors, some roadbed sections have completed unloading work to carry out the next items, including K98 upper subfloor, crushed stone foundation, asphalt concrete... The traffic safety package has basically finished casting the middle divider, B40 mesh fence foundation, barbed wire fence post and foundation... and is being erected at the site.
Asphalt concrete bidding package has carried out 3km of hot asphalt reinforced concrete (ATB), 2km of 19 tight asphalt concrete on the main route, 4km of 19 tight asphalt on branch and connecting routes, 0.3km of concrete polymer tight 12.5 plastic on branch road. Currently, the project has also cast 331 electric pole foundations and installed 150 lighting poles in the category of lighting electrical system.
However, Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway project is facing many difficulties and obstacles that may affect the progress and quality of the project. Because the expressway passes through a complex geological area, up to 45km/51.5km is weak ground that needs to be treated, of which 40km must be treated by wicking and loading. Recently, many sections have completed loading, but still have to wait for another 2-4 months to be able to unload, because the settlement rate in the last months is still high (> 10mm/month).

In addition, the effects of climate change, scarcity and rising prices of materials, the complicated and prolonged epidemics make it difficult to mobilize materials, machinery, equipment, and human resources as well as organize construction. In particular, the Ministry of Transport has not yet agreed on the toll collection plan, which will affect the completion and put into operation schedule of the project.
Chairman of the Board of Management Ho Minh Hoang directed the Project Management Board to actively engage with the parties, plan and control the implementation, overcome all difficulties to accelerate construction, ensure progress and quality of projects.
In the meeting with the project enterprise on May 20, 2021, Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Giang province highly appreciated the efforts of the investor and the contractors, and at the same time, expressed his satisfaction with the management of machinery and equipment as well as the organization of construction well in disease conditions, scarce material resources.
