On May 19, 2021, Bac Giang province implemented social isolation for 4 districts including Viet Yen, Yen Dung, Lang Giang, Luc Nam and Bac Giang city to cope with the tense situation of the Covid-19.

Accordingly, on May 21, 2021, the People's Committee of Lang Son province sent Official Dispatch No. 640/UBND-KT to relevant authorities and Bac Giang - Lang Son BOT Joint Stock Company (BGLS JSC) in order to coordinate to distribute trafic to vehicles transfer from Lang Son to Bac Giang or in opposite direction.

As soon as BGLS JSC recceived the Official Dispatch, BGLS JSC actively coordinated with appropriate autrorities in surveying the position of signal lights, arranging signposts to distribute traffic directions on Bac Giang – Lang Son Expressway. The number of BGLS JSC’s employees was supplement to support traffic police and inspectors of the Department of Transport to guide at necessary traffic points and guide vehicles to transfer the traffic directional distribution plan approved.

Particularly, vehicles starting from Lang Son city, Chi Lang and Huu Lung districts transfer through Bac Giang - Lang Son Expressway to Bac Giang city, through Ha Noi - Bac Giang Expressway to Bac Ninh, Ha Noi and vice versa.

Traffic directional distribution has been deployed since May 20, 2021 until further guidance.

BGLS JSC’s employees coordinated with Department of Transport of two provinces to distribute traffic directions.

According to the direction of the Prime Minister in Notice No. 150/TB-VPCP dated December 2, 2020, the People's Committee of Lang Son guided toll stations to actively open stations and temporarily stop toll collection to help ease traffic in case of traffic jam.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuan - Director of Bac Giang - Lang Son Expressway Management and Operation Enterprise said: "The supplement of employees to distribute traffic directions was rapidly implemented as soon as we received the guidance of appropriate authorities. Toll collection is non-stop, working in shifts. In order to ensure great effeciency of both operation and the Covid-19 prevention, we have arranged for employees to both work and live at the stations, minimize contact with the outside since the beginning of May 2021. Therefore, at present, the toll stations are still operating 24/7, ensuring traffic safety on the Expressway as well as the health of employees. We are determined not to let the Covid-19 negatively impact on our production”.

In addition, in the face of the complicated Covid-19 situation in Bac Giang, BGLS JSC stepped up the epidemic prevention, including complying with the "5K" principle of the Ministry of Health, arranging 70% of employees working at workplace, the rest working from home. Some employees related to cases F1, F2 were timely isolated under the direction of local authorities.
