On September 24, 2022, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, Chairman of the Board of Management of Deo Ca Group and members of the Advisory Council, Board of Management, Executive Board and some business partners visited employees at the Thung Thi tunnel construction site. Thung Thi tunnel is a 12-XL package of the Mai Son - National Highway 45 project.

According to the Management Board of Thung Thi tunnel package, the construction and concrete foundation of the right tunnel have been carried out since September 17, divided into 3 sections. Regarding the progress of the work, it is expected that on September 30, the right tunnel will be completed, and complete the entire tunnel October 30. The electromechanical part such as lights, fire protection, and equipment, … will finish on December 31 to hand over and put into use.

Thung Thi tunnel o construction volume reached 466/591 billion, equivalent to 80% of the total volume, exceeding 10% of the plan. Currently, Deo Ca Group is implementing 8 construction sections, including 2 independent sections for 2 tunnels; 2 bridge sections; 4 sections of road construction and water drain. In order to timely implement the works in tunnel construction, the project management has deployed 3 working shifts with many modern machines and equipment.

During the construction process, Deo Ca Group faced many difficulties, such as scarcity of material supply and escalating prices while the announcement of local price indexes were not consistent with the actual fluctuations of the market. However, with great determination, the project management has gradually overcome bottlenecks, speeded up progress, and ensured the plan to complete Thung Thi tunnel item earliest among the bidding packages of Mai Son - Highway 45 project.
