In the morning of January 22nd, 2019, a day after Cu Mong tunnel breakthrough ceremony (Binh Dinh – Phu Yen), Chairman of the Board Ho Minh Hoang and former Transportation Minister (GTVT), Senior Chairman of Advisory Board Ho Nghia Dung led the mission to visit and celebrate new year with officers, staff, and workers in Hai Van road tunnel extension project (Da Nang).
In the days near Earth Pig Lunar New Year, in Hai Van construction site, the sound of drills, excavators were still bustling. Chairman of the Board Ho Minh Hoang and former Minister Ho Nghi Dung shook hands and celebrated with each officer, staff and worker working in construction site.
The mission had entered the deepest part of tunnel in Hai Van mountain to inspect construction progress. As reported, construction unit had excavated 2.2 km at north tunnel side, 2.1 km at south tunnel side in the total of 6.3 km of Hai Van 2 tunnel.
According to the plan approved by Ministry of Transport, on December 2020 vehicle can pass through Hai Van 2 tunnel. Construction contractor reported that it is expected to breakthrough tunnel on October 2019 and vehicle will be able to pass on October 2020. However, Chairman of the Board had requested to adjust project schedule on September 2020, Hai Van 2 tunnel would be put into operation and project shall be finished prior to the term 3 months, ensured requirements on quality, safety.
“In 2018, we (Deoca Group) have achieved huge successes for putting into operation Cu Mong tunnel, put Bac Giang – Lang Son highway into operation before schedule, build Chi Lang – Huu Nghi highway and foster Dong Dang – Tra Linh highway investment … in Hai Van, I appreciate highly the effort of Management Board, contractors, superintendents, consultants, in particular all efforts of workers directly working in construction site. For new year event, I wish that all best things will come to you and your family, I hope that Hai Van will unite, complete mission assigned by Board of Directors successfully”, said Mr. Ho Minh Hoang. Chairman of Advisory Board Ho Nghia Dung expressed his happiness for returning to Hai Van and witnessed initial results.
“We have built our brand through Co Ma, Deoca, Cu Mong … Today, I witnessed tirelessly working atmosphere of workers in mountain depth, with cooperation and unification, innovation, sudden development, tradition succeed, I believed it will be another successful construction of Deoca in the near future”, said Mr. Dung. Mr. Do Van Nam, General Director of Deoca Group Joint Stock Company thanked for the Group leader’s concern and also promised to implement construction with quality assurance and finished project on schedule.
