Continuing to support to Ho Chi Minh City to fight the epidemic

Deo Ca people are continuing to support the people in Ho Chi Minh City to cope with the epidemic through practical actions.

On the morning of August 19, 2021, Deo Ca Group (DCG) 's Trade Union called on whole employees to donate to buy oxygen tanks and respirators to support the Covid-19 diseases treatment for the people of the city named after Uncle Ho.

The letter from DCG’s Trade Union was written: “In Ho Chi Minh City, the pandemic has lasted, the number of patients at hospitals have been rapidly increasing. In addition to the needs of human resources and diferrent solutions, hospitals have lacked a lot of medical equipment and supplies to promptly treat patients. With solidarity and responsibility, the Trade Union launched the program "Joining hands with Ho Chi Minh City to fight Covid-19".

Mr. Ho Dinh Chung, DCG’s General Director, and the representative of Phuong Trang Group gave 5.000 protective suits to District 12’s Medical Center.

From August 12 to August 13, DCGin cooperated with Phuong Trang Group to support many necessary medical supplies worth over 5 billion VND to front-line medical units in many areas of the Ho Chi Minh City. Specifically, 50.500 N95 masks and 50.500 protective suits, goggles, medical gloves, ... for Medical Hospital, An Binh Hospital, Binh Dan Hospital, Saigon General Hospital, Thong Nhat Hospital, Thu Duc City Hospital, Go Vap Hospital, the No.6 Field Hospital, and Medical Centers in District 8, District 12, ... At the same time, they donated 10.000 N95 masks and 10.000 protective suits to the No. 1 Field Hospital in Binh Duong province.

Since the Covid-19 epidemic started rapidly spreading and then negatively impacting on the socio – economic development, DCG has many practical activities to fight the epidemic in many localities.

Since July 1, 2021, DCG has cooperated with BamBoo Capital Group and Deo Ca Traffic Infrastructure Investment Company (DII) to transport doctors and nurses taking part in the fight against the Covid-19 in Phu Yen, Long An and Ho Chi Minh City.

Deo Ca people also participated in transporting about 1.000 people in Binh Dinh province from Phu Cat Airport to the concentrated isolation area to be sampled for Covid-19 test.

Since July 26, DII and Da Nang’s authority has tranfered over 10.000 people and about 7.000 motorbikes to their hometown to avoid the Covid-19 through Hai Van Tunnel.

In addition, DCG donated a significant number of the Trueline Covid-19 Ag Rapid Test sets, including 4.500 sets to the Department of Health of Ninh Thuan province, 4.000 sets to the Ministry of Public Security, 2.000 sets to the Department of Health of Khanh Hoa province, 2.000 sets to the Department of Health of Phu Yen province. Phu Yen, 3.500 sets to Department of Health of Tien Giang province, a Real Time PCR quantitative test machine to Department of Health of Quang Ninh province and many other medical equipment to these provinces.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, DCG’s General Director gave 2.000 Trueline Covid-19 Ag Rapid Test sets at 1st turn to the Department of Health of Ninh Thuan.

DCG also assigned a representative to donate 5 billion VND to the Covid-19 Prevention Fund in Lam Dong province, 5 billion VND to that in Dien Bien province, and 1 billion VND to that in Cao Bang province.

Since the beginning of 2021, DCG has contributed a total amount of over 20 billion VND to many localities for the fight against the epidemic.

Regarding the prevention of epidemics within the Group, from the beginning of this year, DCG’s Chairman directed to find the source of Covid-19 vaccines for employees at toll stations and construction sites.

Up to now, more than 2.000 DCG’s employees have been vaccinated against Covid-19, including employees in the Trung Luong - My Thuan Project, employees at the toll stations, employees in management & operation enterprise Bac Giang - Lang Son Expressway, Hai Van Tunnel, Deo Ca tTunnel, Cu Mong Tunnel, ... and other employees often contacting the outside.
