In the early morning of June 4th, 2019, the owner of the house located at 40 Thanh Hai Street, Thanh Binh Ward, Hai Chau District (Da Nang) unexpectedly welcomed a special guest - Ho Minh Hoang, Chairman of Deoca Group Joint Stock Company, before he finished his business trip in DaNang and went back to Sai Gon.
This is the house of Phan Quoc Khanh's family - born in 1971, who is currently Deputy Head of Material - Equipment Department of Hai Van Tunnel Management and Operation Joint Stock Company (Hamadeco), a member company of Deoca Group. Chairman Ho Minh Hoang visited and burned incense sticks for Phan Quoc Khanh’s father, who died two years ago. Before his death, the father repeatedly asked his son: "Will Hoang visit me? ...". And today, despite having a hundred and one things to do, just before the flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City took off, Chairman Ho Minh Hoang comes to visit him.
The head of DCG is also very concerned about the family of his employees
The wish of the father before passing away…
Before that, on June 3rd, Chairman Ho Minh Hoang had an intimate meeting with the key leaders of Hamadeco. In the cordial and friendly atmosphere of Deoca family, Mr. Phan Quoc Khanh - who holds a humble position in Hamadeco ventured to ask the Chairman a very small matter but he was pondering since the last two years. And Chairman Ho Minh Hoang respectfully listened to him...
“In the last days of October 2017, my father suffered from end-stage liver cancer pain. I had to take him to the emergency department at Da Nang General Hospital and here the doctors checked and reviewed his records and concluded that his illness was serious and transferred him to the Danang Cancer Hospital for treatment.
Staying in the hospital for about a week, he was getting weaker and weaker, my father suddenly asked one evening: "Did Mr. Hoang come to visit me?". At that time, I was confused and asked: "Who is Mr. Hoang, Dad?" He answered clearly: "Your boss, son". Again, I was really surprised and even more confused: he desired to meet his son's boss, who is paying for his son's family and above all, giving a place for his son to work, study, train and grow. Maybe he felt that the Buddha called him, so he wanted to say thank you and dedicated a message...
Then, I just realized that he was looking for something too difficult for me, which I could not do for him ... I just soothed him: "Daddy! Mr. Hoang has a lot of work. He can't come to visit you ...". He nodded his head and said nothing more. Working on construction sites and in many companies several decades, holding a lot of responsibilities, so he probably understands the head's busyness.
Some days later he repeated that question. I answered him the same. He was very sad and still said nothing. On November 10th, my family and I found him too weak, I consulted with a doctor to bring him home. The doctor agreed. When he got home, he could still speak a little, his voice was weak and he whispered - still a burning question: "Is Mr. Hoang coming? ...". I could only answer him in a choked voice: "Mr. Hoang is very busy, Daddy! He cannot come ...". Late at night on November 11th, 2017, he passed away".
Listening to the story, the Chairman of the Group, who is inherently strong, tough, daring and has never been movable, suddenly became quiet. He turned into his assistant Lai Tan Cang and said: “Tomorrow morning, you come with me to light the incense stick for the old man". And in the morning dew of the next day, Chairman Hoang was present, lighting incense for the deceased. Khanh's mother - now 76 years old, rubbed the tears rolling down her cheeks etched with wrinkles: "Husband, Mr. Hoang has come to visit you ...".
Phan Quoc Khanh's father is Mr. Phan Cu Trinh, born in 1934. In 1950s he joined the gathering in the North, then studied Transportation in Soviet Union, until 1965 he came back and worked at the Ministry of Transport. After 1975, he returned to work at Da Nang Railway Management Board and experienced many jobs and positions in the transportation sector. Before his retirement in 1995, his title was Secretary of the Party Committee cum Deputy General Director of Road Management Zone 5. He died in 2017. |
The predestined relationship with Chairman Ho Minh Hoang
Phan Quoc Khanh, born in 1971, currently holds the position of Deputy Head of VTTB - Hamadeco (in charge of the department operation). According to Khanh, this is a good job with a steady salary and he can manage tocare for the expenses of his family.
Like his father, after have just graduated, Khanh follows transportation sector. He spend all his youth associating with projects from Da Nang to Phan Rang - Phan Thiet, then returned to Quang Ngai - Binh Dinh, and there was time he head up to the central highland regoin, stationing in Daknong. Like any "soldier" of any traffic infrastructure works, the years of his youth are trips ...
Chairman Ho Minh Hoang has a lifestyle close to the workers.
By December 2014, BK-ECC Company (where Khanh currently works for) dispatched him to Deoca to assist in implementing the Package 1J as requested by the owner of Deoca, the Joint Venture of 3 Companies which are BCA Thang Long Company - Vina SF Company - Hai Thach Company and assigned him to the position of Director of 1J package (Traffic safety - Fire protection - Environmental sanitation - Labor safety of the Deoca Tunnel project).
That was the opportunity for Khanh to contact with Deoca Group. And by the end of 2014, on the occasion of the New Year Eve Celebration, Khanh had the opportunity to meet Mr. Ho Minh Hoang and propose his wish through an acquaintance, since then he becomes a member of the Deoca family, stationing in Tuy Hoa City, experienced in many tasks assigned by the Group.
However, the concern of the head of Deoca Group is not only that. Admitting, assigning jobs for Khanh, over half a year later (around August 2015), Mr. Ho Minh Hoang held a meeting with key leaders of the Group, called Khanh and asked hime about his home, family situation... Knowing that Khanh has elderly parents in Da Nang, Chairman Ho Minh Hoang agreed to dispatch Phan Quoc Khanh to Hamadeco Planning Department (along with his two other coworkers). These are the top first 3 people employed by the Group to work for Hamadeco Company at that time.
Since Khanh has worked for the Group from 2015 to 2017, Khanh’s father was very comforted because Khanh has a stable job with a steady salary to cover family life without worrying about difficulties as before. Through the media, press and through his friends, coworkers, he knews that Deoca Group is a prestigious Company, and always pay full salary to the employees on time, everyone had the opportunity to develop, that is why he believes and admires the talented and young Chairman (as his saying about Mr. Ho Minh Hoang). Talking about the wish of his father before dying, Phan Quoc Khanh shared that: “I think: my father wished to see Mr. Hoang to shake hands, talk and thank Mr. Hoang for giving his son a good job to build a stable life, and a good working environment for his son to become a good person”.
Khanh's mother is now old, she has a gentle face and graying hair like any other Vietnamese mothers working hard for their husbands and their children. Like her husband, in this old age, she only hopes her children to have a stable life, raise their own children as the wishes of her companion before passing away.
And she is luckier than him. That, she witnessed his concern before dying: the young and talented Chairman of Deoca Group, Ho Minh Hoang, sincerely came to his small house to burn the incense sticks for him, and she knows that her husband can now rest in peace.
There are still many surprises about the people before they died, concerned about the arduous work of the Chairman of Deo Group when implementing thorny projects such as "Deoca Tunnel, Bac Giang - Lang Son, Huu Nghi - Chi Lang and Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressways". Major General – Dr. Nguyen Huy Ma- Former Deputy Director of C46, before he died, he sent this last message: “... Laying in hospital bed, I follows all the news in the newspaper, trusts in you and proud of the organization. Even if I died, I pray that you will complete all Projects, the country and people need people like you ...” The wish of all the people before dying is very simple: their children have a good workplace, and that they put their trust in the right place! |
