Da Nang police highly appreciate the management operation of Hai Van tunnel

On January 25, 2022, at the operation center of Hai Van Tunnel, the delegation of Da Nang City Police led by Colonel Phan Van Dung - Deputy Director of Da Nang City Police had a meeting and inspection the work of fire prevention and fighting at Hai Van tunnel Management Enterprise.

During the last months of the year, vehicle volume is higher, especially near the Lunar New Year. From the beginning of 2022 to now, there have been 237,218 turns of vehicles through tunnel, an average of nearly 10,000 vehicles per day. January 23, 2022 witnessed the highest traffic volume of 13,463 vehicles. The rescue work and fire fighting are always deployed quickly and promptly, ensuring traffic safety and smoothness. The fire alarm system works well and accurately; The equipment for fire protection and rescue work at Hai Van Tunnel is fully equiped.

After listening to the report of the Hai Van tunnel management enterprise and through the actual inspection of the equipment for fire prevention and fighting, the police delegation highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, always being ready in any situation occurring at the enterprise.

Since Hai Van 2 tunnel was put into operation so far, traffic pressure has been reduced on the whole route, traffic jams are no longer present, visibility in the tunnel is clearer from 85% to 95%, and The average speed increases from 45km/h to 65km/h, minimizing incidents occurring in the tunnel as well as the entire route.

Every year, Hai Van Tunnel Management Enterprise always organizes firefighting and rescue drills in order to improve the professional level of fire fighting and rescue at Hai Van tunnel, minimizing the loss of life and property when a fire or explosion occurs. This is also an opportunity for Hai Van Tunnel Operations Center to review the on-site fire fighting work in the condition that vehicle traffic in the tunnel will increase during the Lunar New Year 2022.
