In two days June, 23 – 24, 2020, Tien Giang Provincial Police coordinated with Trung Luong - My Thuan BOT Joint Stock Company to organize a field survey and work with contractors about security and order assurance on the entire route of Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway project in order to timely evaluate the effectiveness of coordination after over a year of implementing the regulations to ensure public security and order, traffic order and safety for the construction of Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway project in Tien Giang province.

Recognizing the importance of ensuring order and security and labor safety during the implementation of Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway Project, immediately after the signing of the coordination regulations, Trung Luong BOT Joint Stock Company - My Thuan has complied and strictly implemented the provisions of law on investment, business, environmental protection, labor safety protection, fire and explosion prevention and fighting, traffic safety and order, etc.

In the past time, Trung Luong - My Thuan BOT Joint Stock Company and Deo Ca Security Joint Stock Company (the project protection agency) always receive timely support from the provincial police and district/commune police. When incidents occur on the construction site, under the direction of the provincial police, the districts/communes police forces are always promptly present to handle and stabilize the security and order situation. Up to now, there have been no incidents related to occupational safety at the construction site.

“Currently, the whole project is accelerating the construction to meet the road connection schedule by the end of 2020. The upcoming workload on the site is very high, we look forward to continuing to receive attention and support from the provincial police to complete the project on schedule and ensure quality”, Mr. Mai Manh Hong - Permanent Deputy General Director of Trung Luong - My Thuan BOT said.

The representative of Tien Giang delegation said that in the coming time, the agency will strengthen inspection on the whole route and ask the contractors to strictly abide by the regulations on labor safety, ensuring safety for workers, strengthening measures to ensure safety for people traveling at intersections with the local roads (provincial roads, district roads). During the construction process, contractors must pay attention to environmental protection, not affecting the lives of people around the project site. When any incident occurring affects the security and order, the Provincial Police requests the Board of Director, contractors, construction teams promptly notify the grassroots authorities (commune police or district/provincial police) to work together to resolve.
