In July 2024, thousands of Deo Ca Group staff and workers received company-funded health check-ups, costing about 5.5 billion VND.
Sample collection points in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern projects
In the health check-up, employees undergo tests like blood work, general exams, ultrasound, ECG, X-rays, and organ function tests.
In Ho Chi Minh City office and Southern projects, employees are scheduled for on-site testing. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Asset Management Specialist, noted the convenience of this year's health check-up program. "We have doctors and nurses from Hoa Hao General Clinic come to the office for testing, with results emailed quickly. Ultrasound, X-ray, and electrocardiogram are done directly at the clinic", Mr. Huy shared.
Regular check-ups help detect health problems early
At the Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon project, where nearly 2,000 Deo Ca workers are employed, the health check-up program began in early July. Given the project's large scale across multiple districts in Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh provinces, the Project Management Board set up 4 on-site check-up points with multiple sessions to ensure convenience for workers and maintain construction progress.
Mr. Vu Trong Hinh, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Board, said the check-up points at the Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon project are conveniently located at the field offices, equipped with ultrasound, X-ray, electrocardiogram, and occupational disease examination rooms. This allows staff and workers to be examined on-site without the need for long-distance travel.

Annual health check-ups help workers detect health issues early, enabling more effective treatment. It also raises awareness about personal health, encouraging better living habits and a healthier lifestyle.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, a site engineer for the XL3 package of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon project, shared: "These medical exams give me peace of mind, knowing my health status and receiving timely treatment if needed. The leadership's care and supportive policies make us feel secure and committed to staying with the company long-term".
Mr. Nguyen Duy Minh, a bulldozer operator and construction worker for the XL03 tunnel, said he rarely went for health check-ups in the past, only visiting the hospital when sick. However, over the past 2 years with the Group, he has had annual health check-ups and is pleased with the results. He appreciates the full and timely salary, insurance, and welfare benefits like health check-ups, kitchen service, and clean accommodation. Mr. Minh hopes the Group will continue to have projects so he can keep working there.
In Hanoi and Northern projects, the Human Resources Department plans to organize health check-ups for workers at the end of July 2024.
Deo Ca Group supports both the material and spiritual well-being of employees by organizing cultural, artistic, and sports activities, and building facilities like soccer fields and volleyball courts. Employee housing at the projects is also spacious, clean, and well-equipped to ensure their health.
