The contractor consortium led by DEOCA Group is ready and committed to completing the contract and meeting the requirements of the traffic industry.
On December 26, 2022, PMU 2 held a contract signing ceremony for package XL1 of Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway under the Eastern North-South Expressway Construction Project (2021-2025).
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Cao Viet Hung, Deputy Director of PMU 2, congratulated the contractor consortium on winning the first construction package. Despite challenges ahead, the supervision unit has been chosen, and we are all set to begin the bidding package after the groundbreaking ceremony.
According to the contractor appointment results, Package XL1 for construction of section Km0+000 - Km30+000 of Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway was awarded to consortium of DEOCA Group Joint Stock Company - HHV - Dacinco Construction Investment Company Limited.
Mr. Phung Tien Thanh - Vice Chairman of DEOCA Group, representing the Joint Venture, thanked the Ministry of Transport for their trust and promised to fulfill their contractual commitments. “This is an honor and a challenge for us, but we won't let the State and the people down. We hope for prompt site clearance handover by management units. The consortium is ready, mobilizing contractors, and preparing to work with localities on material mines”, Mr. Thanh emphasized.
At the ceremony, PMU 2 (investor) and the contractor consortium signed an emulation contract, boosting determination for the project's timely completion.
According to the plan of the Ministry of Transport, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon section project will take place in Quang Ngai on the first day of 2023.
Package XL1 is the initial part of Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway, valued at 3,862 billion VND. It spans 30km and will be completed in 1,020 days (34 months) from the start of construction. The package comprises level I road works and 31 bridges (4 level II, 20 level III, and 7 level IV.
The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway spans across 4 districts in Quang Ngai province, starting from Km 127+720 in Nghia Ky commune, Tu Nghia district, and ending at Bong Son ward, Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province. It covers Tu Nghia (4.7 km), Nghia Hanh (17.34 km), Mo Duc (10.81 km), and Duc Pho town (27.45 km).
