On August 12, 2022, Deo Ca Group (DCG) coordinated with the Firefighting and Rescue Police Department of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, to practice fire-fighting and rescue at DCG's headquarters building.
The hypothetical situation was that at 10.00 AM on August 12, 2022, the 5th floor of the building was short-circuited, causing a fire that then spread to surrounding areas. At the moment, about 140 people are working in the building.
Immediately, DCG's fire-fighting force cut off the fire area's power and called the Firefighting and Rescue Police Department of District 1 and relevant authorities to assist in rescuing the victims and fire-fighting.
The fire-fighting force instructed people in the building to get out safely. At the same time, they saved and transferred victims who could not move by themselves to the first-aid position; determined the number of people still trapped in the fire area; used fire-fighting means equipped for initial fire fighting.
The Firefighting and Rescue Police Department of District 1 mobilized two fire engines, one command vehicle, one fire pump, and one vehicle carrying the means to coordinate with the fire-fighting and medical force. They agreed on plans to fight fires and save people and property. After 20 minutes, the fire was completely extinguished.
At the end of the drill, the representatives of the participating units held a meeting for the lesson learned. The representative of the District 1 Police Force highly appreciated the practical combat ability of DCG's fire-fighting force.
"Through the drill, the forces practiced raising awareness about fire-fighting and rescue. It contributed to enhancing the ability to respond and handle fire-fighting and emergencies of the forces and vehicles on the spot", the representative of the District 1 Police Force said.
Previously, 21 members of the fire-fighting force attended a training course on fire-fighting and rescue organized by the District 1 Police Force.
At the training course, the members were provided with essential knowledge about fire-fighting and escape skills, handling procedures in case of fire and explosion situations, guiding the transfer of victims, and instructions on using some fire-fighting equipment and means.
