On April 27, 2022, at Than Cuu Nghia intersection, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh attended and cut the ribbon to inaugurate Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway. This is a particularly important expressway in connecting trade in the Mekong Delta. The project is invested under the PPP method.
Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway has been operated without toll for 60 days from 07:30, April 30, 2022, with a minimum speed of 60km/h and a maximum speed of 80km/h. This has been the time to test operation before officially collecting the refund fee for the project.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh praised Deo Ca Group (DCG), the Board of Management of the project, and consultants and contractors for being proactive, creative, and overcoming difficulties to complete the promise to the Government to finish the project on schedule.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that today's event was significant, contributing to creating development motivation for Tien Giang and neighboring provinces. In addition, putting this project into operation formed a synchronous and modern transport network to promote socio-economic development, maintain security and defense in order to sustainably develop the Mekong Delta region – the major economic area of the Southern.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh highly appreciated the working method of DCG and relevant units.
"This is also the first step to strive from now to the end of 2022 to complete another 361km in North-South expressways. We strive to complete the North-South expressway by 2025 from Lang Son to Ca Mau", Deputy Prime Minister said.
Regarding some tasks after the inauguration of the expressway, the Chairman of DCG Ho Minh Hoang proposed to Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh to direct relevant parties to resolve outstanding issues.
He proposed the People's Committee of Tien Giang province coordinate with relevant parties to put the toll station into operation before June 30, 2022, and redefine the starting point of toll collection to adjust the BOT contract and the credit contract. In addition, the Provincial People's Committee should arrange traffic police force to coordinate with the enterprises operating and managing Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway; continue to clear the remaining ground to complete the additional collection road; coordinate with the Ministry of Transport to agree with investors to soon build a rest stop and an maintenance operation and management center on the expressway to better serve the people and enhance the life of the works.

This is a project that had lasted for many years, negatively affecting the economic development and traffic activities of the people in the Mekong Delta. The project has received close attention from the Party, the State, the National Assembly, and the Government. Mr. Ho Minh Hoang also recommended rewarding units that have made outstanding contributions to completing the project under challenging conditions.

Three years of acceleration since DCG participated in the management and operation of the project.
In March 2019, the consortium of investors invited DCG to participate in project management and operation through the Trung Luong - My Thuan BOT Joint Stock Company.
DCG implemented a series of measures to handle problems
Immediately after receiving, DCG "entered" with the determination "The project is one day late, we are in debt to the people one more day", quickly implementing a series of measures to restart.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Thanh and Chairman of DCG Ho Minh Hoang presented gifts to units with regular contributions.
After three years of taking over, DCG and relevant units have brought the project to the inauguration milestone, meeting the people's expectations and the government's confidence. DCG will continue to coordinate with the People's Committee of Tien Giang province to solve the shortcomings, ensure technical standards and traffic safety, and organize the evaluation of the exploitation process to adjust before officially collecting the refund fee for the project.
