On November 28, 2022, the Standing Vice Chairman, Mr. Phan Van Thang, and the permanent member of the Advisory Council, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Trang, inspected the construction of the bidding packages by Deo Ca Construction Company (DCC - under DCG) in My Thuan - Can Tho expressway and My Thuan 2 bridge.

Mr. Phan Van Thang and Colonel Nguyen Thanh Trang inspected the site of the XL-02 package in the My Thuan 2 bridge project.

In the XL-03 package of the My Thuan - Can Tho expressway project, DCC's BOD said that the progress could not be accelerated as expected. The main reason is that the investor handed over the premises 18 months late. In addition, the implementation of the bidding package (through the DT.908 intersection) was entangled with the 500KV power line, leading to the need to change the solution to treat soft soil. Still, the investor needed to be faster to approve.

In particular, materials are scarce, so An Giang and Dong Thap authorities have agreed on the amount of sand to support the project. However, due to the limited mine capacity, sand mining still needs to meet the requirements. The transport and gathering of materials also faced many difficulties. Besides, the transport of materials by waterway is not suitable due to the large volume of materials, the small rivers, many small bridges, and the dependence on the tides. Regarding the road, the localities restrict large trucks, so they could only be transported by small trucks, resulting in high costs but still insufficient sand.

The transport of materials must go through many stages and means in many ways. Therefore, advisor Nguyen Thanh Trang reminded DCC's BOD to control well to minimize materials loss.

In the XL-02 package of the My Thuan 2 bridge project, DCC's BOD is focusing all its efforts on speeding up the progress. However, the consortium member, Company 873, still needs to meet the requirements of finishing applying granular materials to create a uniform surface. Meanwhile, DCC is ready and waiting to be handed over to deploy asphalt concrete mats.

After checking and listening to the report, Mr. Phan Van Thang acknowledged DCC's efforts in the past time. In addition, he directed DCC's BOD to work with the investor, PMU My Thuan, to rebuild the work progress milestones that were delayed due to the slow handover of the premises and simultaneously find solutions to overcoming difficulties.

"In the condition of scarce materials and escalating prices, we have to focus all our resources more and do them until we get there," the Standing Vice President directed.
