On October 16, 2019, the People's Committee of Da Nang city cooperated with the Ministry of Public Security to hold a rehearsal of fire fighting, search and rescue plans at Azura high-class apartment complex, Ngo Quyen Vincom Commercial Center and Da Nang Vinpearl hotel.

Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company, belonging to Deo Ca Group with modern fire fighting equipment along with the professionalism of the on-site fire fighting force, was mobilized by the steering committee to vehicles and forces of fire fighting for Hai Van tunnel to participate in the training and coordinate with professional fire fighting units to implement the exercise plan.

The drill took place on a large scale, mobilizing over 1,000 people with many forces involved, from the fire prevention and rescue police, air force, navy, army, electricity, health, three-region police such as Da Nang, Thua Thien - Hue, Quang Nam, ... There are nearly 100 vehicles mobilized, including fire engines, rescue, ladders, command, ambulance vehicles, fire boat, rescue canoe, helicopter, professional dog and other means ...

The hypothetical situation was given as a big fire and explosion at a restaurant on the 3rd floor of the hotel, due to gas leaking from the cooking area. 300 people were trapped in the rooms had to be rescued.

In an emergency situation causing Da Nang authorities have to mobilize many forces to participate in fire extinguishment and rescue. The Ministry of Public Security has sent more forces and vehicles to rescue and suggested neighboring localities to provide support to Da Nang.

According to Da Nang city police, this large-scale exercise has been elaborately prepared for months, with close coordination of many forces. The organization of this firefighting and rescue plan is an exercise of interest in the direction and coordination of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Defense, and the People's Committee of Da Nang City in the observance of law provisions on fire protection and rescue rescue; raise awareness and responsibility of all levels and branches for fire prevention and rescue; executive commanding capacity and coordination between police forces and other forces in handling large-scale fire, explosion and accident incidents; strengthening the permanent work, assessing the features, effects, effectiveness of fire fighting equipment, search and rescue, communications and logistics for fighting ... Contributing to ensuring social order and security in Da Nang city in particular and the whole country in general.
