In 2 days (from May 4th – 5th, 2019), Chairman Ho Minh Hoang with other involved partiesdirectly inspected the work site at Deoca Tunnel, Cu Mong Tunnel and toll stations.
Request to eliminate the existing issues
Mr. Ho Minh Hoang highly appreciated the management and operation of tunnels and toll stations in this area generally in recent years. The entities have procured continuous, smooth and safe operation of Deoca tunnels, Cu Mong tunnels and tolling stations in Khanh Hoa - Phu Yen – Binh Dinh.
Chairman Ho Minh Hoang worked with staffs and employees of CuMong Tunnel Management Center (TMC).
In addition, the Head of DCG requested the involved parties to overcome some existing deficiences in the work site, continue to optimize the management of the tunnel and toll stations operation.
For Deoca tunnel, The Chairman of the Board of Directors has directed the involved parties to fix some issues during the exploration and operation such as: water proof, potholes, expansion joints, tolling management software, waste rock and soil in streams, landslide, talusslope, replanting trees, selling tickets at wrong pacevalue.... The Chairman assigns the Executive Board to clarify the causes and give out solutions promptly to thoroughly handle these issues and notify the contractors in writing to request them to fulfill the warranty obligations.
For the operation of Cu Mong Tunnel, the Chairman of the BOD requested the Cu Mong Tunnel Management Board, Cu Mong toll station, to urgently fix the equipment warranty and create landscape around offices area in May 2019.
Simultaneously, Cu Mong Tunnel Management Board must cooperate with related units to complete the Northern intersection, reinforcing the mechanical roof of package CM5, electricity system for the operation and construction of the parking area, planting trees, and returning wastes before June 30th, 2019.
For Hai Van tunnel and road system in Da Nang area, the Management Board is assigned to make price adjustment for Bac Hai Van toll booth according to the adjusted PATC which has been approved by the Ministry of Transport. The adjusted price will be applied in July 2019.
Completing the expansion of the Bac Hai Van toll station in a shortest time and ensure the passabilityupon completion of the Hai Van 2 tunnel.
Based on the Ministry of Transport's assignment to Deoca Group to manage, operate, exploit, and maintain the La Son - Tuy Loan route and MuiTrau tunnel, DCG must submit a written proposal to the Ministry of Transport and the PMU of Ho Chi Minh road and BT investor to prepare procedures for handing over roads and MuiTrautunnelto Deocafor operating and managing. Particularly, the Chairman emphasized: strictly control, restrictformer management board of MuiTrau tunnel purchase unnecessary equipment, which cause increase in the PATC and undesirable consequences afterward.
Setting a great example for employees–Excercising for 15 minutes in the early morning
Also at this meeting, Chairman Ho Minh Hoang gave general direction on human resources for the Board of Directors, the assistant board and the executive board.
Mr. Ho Minh Hoang requested the leaders of the executive board to assign current employees to act as assistant to the leaders, in order to train and develop human resources for the organization.
The public relations and training department are responsible for organizing a program to announce the consolidation of the Board of Directors structure, assignment of assistant committee and develop an internal training program for the secretary of the organization, which is scheduled to be held in Da Lat City from May 25th to 27th, 2019.

According to the proposal of the Executive Board, Advisory Council, the Chairman of the Board of Directors agreed to make a summary record of the construction of Deoca and Cu Mong tunnels, and complete it before August 2019 to serve the 2-year anniversary of operation of Deoca Tunnel.
The Chairman also said that: on the occasion of the 2-year anniversary of the operation of the Deoca Tunnel, which is expected to take place in August 2019, Deoca Group will award certificates of merit to individuals achieving excellently the management of operation, exploitation, or toll collection. “Staffs of all departments, including mining workers, toll collectors, drivers or workers, anybody in any field, if performing its task excellently will be commended, not only leaders or managers”- the Chairman affirmed.
Chairman Ho Minh Hoang also reminded his assistants: “I would like to organize intimate dinners with all workers to obtain honest sharing and feedback, hence I can assess working environment of the organization and increase the ability of engagement between employees and the organization. By which, I can adjust the way of managing the origanization, create much more motivation, and promote all members of any classes, generations and religious in the system to engage with the organization”.
In order to raise the mind of framing healthfor employees at the tunnel management unit and toll booth, Chairman Ho Minh Hoang requested to demonstrate pilot exercises in the early morningat Phu Yen, BinhDinh and Da Nang projectarea, through which, this modelwill be replicated for the whole organization, creating a positive energy to start the working day and improve physical health for the employees of the whole organization.
