On June 24th, 2019, the leader of BOT Trung Luong - My Thuan Joint Stock Company checked the progress of Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway Project. Working atmosphere on the site was very urgent and energetic.
Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, Chairman of BOT Trung Luong - My Thuan Joint Stock Company, together with the inspectors worked at T5 pier of the 6th package constructed by DCG.
According to Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, Chairman of BOT Trung Luong - My Thuan Joint Stock Company, the construction progress has been improved pretty well. Since its inception of about 10 years, the project was carried out only 10% of the workload. However, since Deoca Group joined the project, after 3 months of restarting, the construction companies have accelerated the progress, completing 25% of the project volume. The construction companies have made efforts in the past months and need put much more effort. "If we want topush others, we need to push ourselves," Chairman Ho Minh Hoang emphasized.
As recorded at the project site, contractors have mobilized all equipment, machinery and manpower to work together with investors with an aim of accelerating the construction progress. In the XL15 package, Tuan Loc Construction Investment Joint Stock Company has constructed 45% of trough beam for Tra Lot bridge. Mr. Pham Hoang My, Executive Director of Tuan Loc Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, said: “The construction progress is currently guaranteed, reaching 25% of workload.”
In Package 03, the BMT contractor has constructed 53% of the workload. “At this moment, ground clearance at the contruction site is still partially uncompleted. If the ground clearance is completed, the deployment progress will be accelerated”, said Mr. Nguyen Ba Hung, Executive Director of B.M.T Construction Investment Joint Stock Company.
At the T1 girder of package 6, the inspectors found that the E&C construction companyhas stop construction, pulling only a pile, and the construction was not consistent with the design; there was a case of booking seats at this site. Therefore, Chairman Ho Minh Hoang requested to review the bidding package of this company.
In the afternoon of the same day, Chairman of BOT Trung Luong - My Thuan Joint Stock Company chaired a briefing meeting with PMU, Contractors, Supervisers, and Consultants of Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway Project regarding the situation of implementation and resolve difficulties and obstacles of the companies that are envolvingin investment and construction of Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway.
In terms of site clearance, Tien Giang People's Committee has basically completed and handed over the site. Particularly, the whole XL-09 package (at An Thai Trung intersection), a part of XL-18 package (Rach Mieu - Co Co section) and some local locations alternating on the Expresswas line have not been cleared.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors highly appreciated the efforts of the investors and contractors to implement the project, although despite financial difficulties, they were simultaneously implementing the construction on the site to ensure Targets for completion by the end of 2020.
