On January 21, 2021, the Institute of Business Administration, University of Economics, Vietnam National University held a National Workshop on "Intelligent management in a global complex environment: Theory and practice".
The workshop clarifies the theoretical and practical bases of intelligent management to help businesses master the complexity by transforming the traditional management model into a modern one, based on smart tools, focus on the issues of: The trend of shifting from traditional management to modern management, the application of smart tools in governance and smart management to enjoy life, management by combination systems science, cybernetics and biosimulation, the impact of the global complex environment on the operations of enterprises/organizations.

The workshop was attended by representatives of state agencies such as the Central Economic Commission, the Government Office, the Committee for State Capital Management at Enterprises, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance, representatives of universities, institutes, research centers and businesses in Vietnam.
Mr. Ho Minh Hoang - Chairman of the Board of Management of Deo Ca Group in the role of speaker gave a presentation that created special attention at this workshop. After the general introduction of the achievements of Deo Ca Group, which was highly appreciated by the Government, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang introduced the governance-operating model at Deo Ca Group.

The ideologies, operating tools, management models, development strategies, corporate culture that focus on the application of the maths: "Addition", "Multiply", "Divide", "Subtract" and ended with the performance of the song "The ordinary maths" expressing his own management philosophy, which made an impression on the participants.
The issues that make Deo Ca Group different such as “Co-Operative Board”, “core values”, “zoo management principles”… were questioned by experts and exchange with Chairman of Deo Ca excitedly.
The 21st century is witnessing the transformation of the world under the strong impact of the 4th industrial revolution. The most important feature of the global transition is the increasing complexity. Exploring and acknowledging the complexity of the global business environment is imperative for all managers of both corporations and nation.
The speakers' voices and the discussions at the workshop made it clearer what practical intelligent management is in Vietnam. Vietnamese businesses and organizations must change themselves to achieve smarter governance.
