On November 01, 2020, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, representative of Quang Ninh National Assembly and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky - Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Mr. Nguyen Tuong Van - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee visited Cua Luc 1 bridge project. This is one of the bridge projects connecting the south and north areas of Ha Long city over Cua Luc Bay.

Cua Luc 1 bridge and its leading roads have a total length of 4,265m, the starting point intersects with the road connecting Cai Lan - Viet Hung Industrial Park to Ha Long - Van Don expressway in Gieng Day ward; the endpoint intersects with National Road 279 at Km24 + 750, Le Loi commune, Ha Long city.

The main bridge is designed in the form of concreted steel tube with 06 motor lanes, 33.1m wide, 290m long and 40x7m of navigational clearance; the section of leading bridge is 565m long, the section of the leading road is 3,380m long with 6 motor lanes; designed speed of 60km/h. The total investment of the project is VND 2,109 billion from the provincial budget. The project is invested by Quang Ninh Project Management Unit of Construction & Investment in civil and industrial works.

After directly visiting the construction site and listening to the report of the project management board, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the quality and achieved progress since the contractors have done a large amount of work in only 6 months, especially appreciated the "leader" role of Deo Ca Group in the contractor consortium of this important project in Quang Ninh province.

Also at the meeting, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh instructed Quang Ninh province to soon implement Cua Luc 2 bridge right after completing Cua Luc 1 to utilize the in-place equipment and human resources of contractors.

Previously, Quang Ninh province started the construction investment project of Cua Luc 1 and 3 bridges. These events were simplified in the spirit of strictly implementing Covid-19 prevention under the directions of the Government and Quang Ninh province at that time.

After merging with Hoanh Bo in early 2020, the new development strategy of Ha Long city is oriented in multi-polar model in which Cua Luc bay is the connection center. In order to facilitate the development process, Quang Ninh decided to invest in 3 bridges across the bay including Cua Luc 1, Cua Luc 2 and Cua Luc 3.
