On May 7th, 2019, at Nam Hai Van toll station, Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city, the police department worked with Deo Ca Investment Corporation, the company Hai Van Road Management and Mining Corporation to discuss the measures to improve the effectiveness of coordination to ensure traffic order and safety in Hai Van pass area.
Representatives of Da Nang Police Department were Colonel Le Quoc Dan, Deputy Director of the City Police Department, the staff room, the traffic police department, the administrative police department on social security, Lien Chieu district police department, Hoa Hiep Bac ward police department, party affairs office and political affairs attending the meeting.
From the investors attending the meeting, there were Mr. Nguyen Tan Dong, Deputy General Director of Deo Ca Corporation, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Huong, General Director of Hamadeco Company and Mr. Vo Ngoc Trung, Director of Hai Van Tunnel Operating Enterprise.
The parties exchanged the situation and results of coordination to ensure traffic order and safety in recent years, discussed and solved problems and problems, unified the key tasks and duties that need to be coordinated in order to improve the efficiency of the coordination work to ensure traffic order and security in the future.
Colonel Le Quoc Dan highly appreciated the cooperation between the parties in the recent time according to the signed coordination regulations to ensure the traffic safety. In the coming time, Da Nang city police department proposes to continue promoting the coordination between DEOCA Group and the functional forces of Da Nang City Police Department to ensure traffic order and safety in Hai Van project area. In order to enhance the work of ensuring traffic order and safety on Hai Van tunnel route, Hai Van pass route, the units agreed on a number of specific measures.
Particularly, the installation of cameras on the road leading to the tunnel must be performed to enhance the handling of vehicles violating speed and illegal lane encroachment, adding soft median strips (rubber piles) to enhance traffic safety assurance on the route.
Police Department of Da Nang City assigned Traffic Police Department, Lien Chieu district police department to further patrol and handle the construction of tents along the road to Hai Van pass, causing traffic loss; handling tourist cars and tours that park visitors parked on the mountain pass for sightseeing, taking photos, causing loss of visibility for other vehicles and potentially high traffic accidents; there is a plan to ensure security at Hai Van Pass route at the time when a large number of tourists visit; handling vehicles parked in the wrong lane; propagating people when participating in traffic complies with traffic safety regulations.
The functional units agreed to work closely with the Hai Van Road Tunnel Management Board and Hai Van 1 tunnel management and operation unit to ensure not to let down the order and security such as fighting, theft due to construction officials and workers in the area.
