Deoca Group visited and gave gifts to families under preferential treatment policy and difficult circumstances in North Hai Van area

On July 13th, 2019, Deoca Group Joint Stock Company cooperated with People’s Committee of Lang Co Town (Thua Thien Hue) visited and gave gifts to local familiesunder preferential treatment policy and difficult circumstances.

Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group – Mr. Nguyen Tan Dong, Deputy General Director of the Group – Mr. Nguyen Xuan Huong and leaders of Lang Co Town came to the homes of people with meritorious service to the Revolution but now in their old age, to visit and give gifts to them.

Mother Ngo Thi Lo, 87 years old, is a revolutionary solder once captured and exiled by the enemy, mother Lo’s family belongs to the category deserving of site clearance for Hai Van tunnel no. 2. As of now, mother Lo has a stable life in a brand new home at the resettlement area. To show her appreciation for the care and concern given, mother Lo thanked the Group, local authority of Lang Co for personally coming to check on her wellbeing.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Huong gave gifts to families under preferential treatment policy

Not far from mother Lo’s house is the home of Mr. Nguyen Van Can. He has 55-year Party membership, 97 years of age, more than anyone, he understands the change that’s taking over his native village when the Hai Van tube was put into operation. Mr. Can said that: “When the country starts digging a mountain pass through Hai Van Mountain (Hai Van tunnel), I didn’t know when it will be completed, I simply hoped that I could live until that time to see it come to fruition. In 2005, I was able to pass through said tunnel, it was amazing. And now you guys (Deoca Group) is about to finish with the second one. That’s wonderful. The people in Lang Co will be the first to benefit from this construction work.”

Received gifts of the Group, Mr. Can was moved to tears, he also expressed his gratitude for Deoca for providing clean water for his family and other neighbors in the past years.

Presenting gifts to People’s Committee of Lang Co Town

On the same day that morning, Deoca Group Joint Stock Company and People’s Committee of Lang Co Town came around to give gifts to other families under preferential treatment policy and difficult circumstances in Lang Co Town. The visit was enveloped in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere at People’s Committee of Lang Co Town.

Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Lang Co, Nguyen Thanh Nhan said: “Lang Co has 76 families and individuals under preferential treatment policy, in which there are 8 wounded soldiers with 6 of their family members having honored Vietnamese Heroic Mother, 35 families and relatives having honored the invalids, 11 persons contributed meritorious service to the revolution, 11 persons affected by chemical poison, 5 deportees participated in the resistance war.”

Mr. Nguyen Tan Dong, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deoca Group, Director of Management Board of Hai Van tunnel confirmed: “In addition to construction works, Deoca Group Joint Stock Company always cared about the life of those who were affected by the project, those under preferential treatment policy, and those who greatly contributed to past revolution. According to schedule, in September 2019, Hai Van shall open its 2nd tube. The Group would like to thank family households subject to site clearance category who agreed to relocate to other areas so that the country and its people could witness the birth of a modern, state-of-the-art meeting the requirements of socio-economic development not only for Hue - Da Nang but also for the country".
Visiting the families under preferential treatment policy and difficult circumstances is an activity that represents the positive cultural aspect, shows the morality of remembering those who helps you, remembering your root; to be grateful to heroic martyrs, people who have contributed to the revolution. Such has become annual tradition of Deoca Group.
