On April 9, 2022, in Hanoi, Deo Ca Group held a meeting with traffic infrastructure field including Sinohydro Corporation LTD, Van Thinh Phat Group, A2Z construction consultant, Bac Giang - Lang Son BOT Company,... to share experiences on investment policies for transport infrastructure projects in Vietnam under the PPP method - Type of contract of BOT, BTL.

The meeting is for the purpose of sharing experiences between the companies and help Deo Ca’s staff to learn and supplement the knowledge and working methods from the foreign companies on traffic infrastructure. At the same time, the meeting is also a premise for the future cooperation of Deo Ca Group and the foreign companies on new projects.

In this working session, the representative of Deo Ca Group shared about the transport infrastructure investment policy in Vietnam under the PPP form - types of BOT, BTL contract with the main contents are the legal framework of PPP through the periods; PPP project implementation process; BOT and BTL contracts; Introduce some projects expected to be implemented under BTL contract in the near future.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh - General Manager of Deo Ca Group said: "Currently, in addition to solving problems of transport infrastructure directed by the Government, we are also supported by many localities such as Cao Bang and Dien Bien, Hanoi, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ben Tre,... Deo Ca Group is studying 18 projects, with a total investment of up to 10 billion USD, so the cooperation opportunities of Deo Ca and domestic and foreign enterprises in the future are very open”.

There were many other opinions on the legal mechanism, operation process and how to do a project on the model of PPP, BTL, TOD, etc. Representative of the Sinohydro Corporation shared about the TOD model - a model that takes the development of the public transport system as the basis for urban development planning, takes the traffic hub as a population concentration point to form the into the transportation system.

This model solves problems related to traffic congestion and environmental protection in large urban areas. Deo Ca Group is very interested in this model because it is suitable for the upcoming orientation of the Group.

Mr. Yang Wu - Head of the office of Sinohydro Corporation LTD in Vietnam hopes that in the future, Power China will cooperate with Deo Ca Group and Van Thinh Phat Group as well as with other famous enterprises in Viet Nam to exploit and develop infrastructure projects in potential markets like Vietnam.
