On two days October 31 and November 1, 2020, the Executive Committee of Deo Ca Group’s Trade Union cooperated with local Fatherland Front Committee of four Central provinces (Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh) to give 600 gifts (value of VND 2 million each pack) including basic necessities and cash to households affected by the recent flood.
Accordingly, the charity delegation divided into two groups. The first group was led by Mr. Luu Xuan Thuy - Standing Vice Chairman of the Board to visit Phu Gia commune, Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue province and 5 communes of Dakrong district, Quang Tri province (Dakrong, A Bung, Ta Long, Ta Rut and Huc Nghi communes). The second group led by Mr. Tran Van The - Vice Chairman of the Board, Chairman of Trade Union, directly went to Ha Tinh province (Cam My, Cam Quang, Cam Thanh communes) and Quang Binh province (Phu Hoa, Canh Hoa communes).
Besides giving gifts to people at the institutions of the People's Committees of communes, villages or hamlets, charity groups also directly visited and encouraged the households which suffered heavy losses during the floods. For 10 households with special difficulties in Ha Tinh, whose houses were deeply flooded or sick people could not come to the institution to receive gifts, Mr. Tran Van The and the delegation went directly to their houses. Noticing their particularly difficult situations, he decided to give a gift worth 5 million VND to each household.
In Quang Tri province, the delegation came to 5 communes of Dakrong district where majority are Pa Ko and Van Kieu ethnics. They all have the last name Ho to express their gratitude for the merit of the Party and Uncle Ho has brought the nation a full and happy life. To access these 5 ethnic communes has only Ho Chi Minh road, but currently seriously eroded.
Mr. Tran Van The said: “After 1 week of calling, the Trade Union has received 1.2 billion VND, of which 700 million VND contributed from the Board of Management, Advisory Council, Board of Directors, workers members, and 500 million from Deo Ca Group’s employees. This is the sharing of all officials and employees in Deo Ca Group system with difficulties of people in the central provinces, hopefully, they could overcome difficulties and stabilize lives soon”.
Previously, through the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Chairman of the Board of Deo Ca Group also donated VND 500 million to the fund to help flood victims in the Central region.
