On 28th March 2018, Deo Ca Investment Joint Stock Company held a seminar on training young human resources for the future “From school to practical startup”. This is a sharing and exchanging event to help students decide their career orientation in the future. At the seminar, representatives of students from universities in the Northern region had opportunity to meet, question and share information with the corporation’s leaders, experts and lecturers of universities.

Attending the seminar, some special guests included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hai Anh – Vice Director of Training Department, University of Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tung – National University of Civil Engineering, Colonel Nguyen Trong Hoang – Director of BCA Thang Long Company. From the Company’s Management Board, there were Mr. Ho Minh Hoang – Management Board Chairman, General Director of Deo Ca Investment Joint Stock Company, cum Management Board Chairman of Bac Giang – Lang Son BOT Joint Stock Company, Board of Directors of member companies, members of advisory committee, experts and more than 100 students from universities in Northern region.
The seminar started with a short film showing general introduction of the companies in the system: Sai Gon Bridge Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, Deo Ca Investment Joint Stock Company, Bac Giang – Lang Son BOT Company, A2Z Construction Consultant Joint Stock Company, Hai Van Tunnel Operation and Management Joint Stock Company, including establishment history, achievements, operational motto… Along with the introduction was the story on starting up process of the “captain” Ho Minh Hoang through the lively and true sharing of Dr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, who is currently assistant but also a close friend of Chairman Ho Minh Hoang during this successful businessman’s start-up years. Through this, young students have had a broad view about the company’s system and especially about the leader – CEO Ho Minh Hoang.
At the seminar, CEO Ho Minh Hoang – the “Tunnel King” shared: To achieve today success, there were great efforts and contributions of Board of directors, advisory committee, experts and all staffs of the company. He also expressed the most sincere gratefulness to Major General. Dr. Nguyen Huy Ma (former Director of the Department of Professional Police Profile, Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Police) who currently is the advisor of the system. Major General Ma has been together with CEO Ho Minh Hoang from the hard days of early start-up. Even when he acknowledged cancer in his body, the Major General still spent all his time, efforts, provided a lot of important ideas for the company and has never been absent at any meeting as an advisor. It is especially moving to know that before coming to this seminar, Major General Ma has just gone through the medical treatment in Singapore when his cancer has been to the third stage. The Major General also joined the event with the students with a song written by himself using Bac Ninh traditional music for Deo Ca Corporation. |
The energetic and exciting atmosphere stayed throughout the seminar. Many students frankly shared their thoughts and concerns about starting up and raised many questions on how to turn a startup idea into reality, how to bring knowledge learnt in the university into practical work, as well as recruiting requirements of the employers. In addition, there was a number of questions on the company’s projects and the BOT investment forms… The system’s leaders, experts and lecturers enthusiastically shared their practical experiences in the field of startup, including many lessons in both ideas and management mechanism, at the same time emphasized that in order to successfully start up, young people will need a lot of passion and enthusiasm. Passion is the key factor that determines whether young people will have enough patience to overcome the difficulties to continue nurturing their startup dream and the way to success in their future.
CEO Ho Minh Hoang asserted: Students should try to approach the field they are studying about from the first year in the university. On that basis, students should accumulate knowledge, skills for the career to form ideas and plans for their career in the future. The student of today generation are excellent, however they must push their creativity and independence, apply learnt knowledge to create feasible startup projects, this will help young people to turn their dream and ambition to become their success.
After more than 3 hours of active discussion, the seminar on training young human resources for the future “From school to practical startup” has partly solved the students’ questions, helping students, lecturers and businesses sit back and reach a common voice, thus motivate the training of which the biggest goal is to guide the students with the shortest path to be employed, stabilize their life with self-development opportunity after graduation, so that young people through knowledge and creativity can fully develop their ability and passion.
