Through observation, Deo Ca Tunnel Management Center noticing that on the route leading to Deo Ca tunnel, vehicles continuously stopped and parked illegally, despite the prohibition signs. The violation prolongs causing traffic congestion and posing a risk of accidents on the route, the Tunnel Management and Operation Center has sent a document to the authorities of Phu Yen province to coordinate to completely handle the above situation.
Accordingly, the Operation Management Center has reminded the drivers not to stop incorrectly on the route but could not completely solve it.
The Police Department of Administrative Management on Social Order of Phu Yen Provincial Police have intensified the inspection and make violation reports to handle the violating vehicles. The Board of Directors of Deo Ca Traffic Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (DII) directed Deo Ca Tunnel Management and Operation Center to coordinate with Phu Yen police to promote patrolling, controlling and handle the above violations.
Strengthening the inspection and handling the vehicles that stop and park illegally
The drastic measures to ensure traffic security have brought about many positive effects, the traffic situation on the route has turned better, the driver’s obedience to traffic law is improved, reducing risk of accident.
In order to keep the traffic safety ensuring in the coming time promoting effectively, Deo Ca Tunnel Management and Operation Center continues to cooperate closely with the authorities of Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa, strengthening the patrol and control, resolutely handle the violations of traffic law; taking photos and videos of the vehicles parked illegally and send to the authorities to handle.
Deo Ca road tunnel connecting Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa is a national key traffic project, recognized by the Ministry of Construction as one of the five typical national projects on the 60th anniversary of the traditional construction industry in Vietnam. After being put into operation, the travel time between the two provinces has been shortened from 45 minutes on pass road to just over 10 minutes through the tunnel, thoroughly eliminating dangerous black spots of accidents and traffic jams.
The leading road of Deo Ca tunnel
The project has a total length of 13,190m, starting from Km1353 + 150 (National road 1A) in Hoa Xuan Nam commune, Dong Hoa district (Phu Yen province) and ending at Km1374 + 525 in Van Tho commune, Van Ninh district (Khanh Hoa province). In which, Deo Ca tunnel is 4,125m long, Co Ma tunnel is 500m long and 8,565m of leading roads. Each route has two parallel tunnels designed 30m apart, each has 9.75m wide, consisting of two lanes with safety strips and tunnel maintenance corridor, the designed speed is 80km/h. Vehicles are not allowed to stop or park in tunnels as well as on leading roads.
