Since early 2024, the fire prevention and rescue teams managing the Hai Van, Mui Trau, and Phuoc Tuong - Phu Gia tunnels have handled 6 fires and 25 accidents with no human casualties.

To enhance fire prevention and rescue, HHV’s team operates 24/7 with modern equipment, including automatic fire alarms and advanced rescue tools, ensuring swift and effective incident management.

HHV’s affiliated operation and management enterprises regularly conduct increasingly challenging drills and check equipment and vehicles to enhance fire prevention skills and operational expertise.

In early August 2024, HHV participated in fire prevention and rescue training invited by Da Nang City and Thua Thien Hue Province. This regular activity is part of HHV's coordination with local police, and HHV was the only enterprise invited.

After the training, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee, recognized the efforts and awarded a certificate of merit to Hai Van Tunnel Management Enterprise for its outstanding performance in the 2024 provincial fire safety and rescue drills.

Recently, HHV has received high praise and certificates of merit from Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue authorities for outstanding contributions to fire prevention and rescue.

Besides ensuring safe traffic on tunnel projects, HHV's Fire Prevention and Rescue Force collaborates with local authorities to manage fires, and incidents. Notable examples include their response to the Shaiyo AA Vietnam factory fire in Chan May Industrial Park and assistance with the accident on the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway.
