On February 14, 2025, in Ha Noi, the delegation of DEOCA Group had a working session with the leaders of Dong A University of Technology to discuss enhancing the cooperation in training and developing high-quality human resources.

The overview of the working session.

Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, Chairman of the Board of Directors, led the delegation of DEOCA Group. Representing Dong A University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Thuan, Chairman of the University Council, presided over the reception, with the attendance of Dr. Dinh Van Thanh, Rector of the University.

During the session, both parties introduced and shared about their history of establishment and development, organizational culture, management and operational perspectives, as well as cooperation directions. The discussion covered many topics, with a particular emphasis on the importance of strengthening the collaboration between enterprises and academia in developing high-quality human resources, promoting scientific research, and creating value for society through a well-trained and practically skilled young generation.

Mr. Ho Minh Hoang stated that DEOCA Group and Dong A University of Technology share many similarities, particularly in ideology and culture. According to Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, DEOCA Group consistently places great emphasis on collaborating with training institutions to build sustainable relationships between enterprises and academia.

“Firstly, we view training work not as a means of economic gains but, most importantly, as a way to strengthen the Group’s internal capabilities. Secondly, it is to transfer the Group’s practical knowledge and expertise to partner institutions for their adoption and further development. Thirdly, through training initiatives, we seek to foster connections, facilitate knowledge sharing and promote collaborative efforts with dedication and commitment to achieving national objectives” – Mr. Ho Minh Hoang said.

Representatives from DEOCA and Dong A University of Technology all shared the view that the current workforce in the transportation sector, particularly high-quality human resources, has yet to meet the industry’s demands. In emerging fields, in terms of closely following the country’s upcoming infrastructure development strategy—such as urban railways, high-speed railways—the existing workforce remains insufficient in both quality and quantity.

Based on practical needs and future development direction, DEOCA Group and Dong A University of Technology have agreed to establish a long-term partnership in training. The principle of this cooperation is built upon capabilities and strengths of both parties in terms of expertise, experience, resources, and infrastructure. In addition, they will jointly develop training programs and curricula that integrate academic theory with practical applications. Thereby, students will be well-prepared to join and contribute to organizations.

Specifically, DEOCA Group and Dong A University of Technology will jointly establish the Institute for Research and Advanced Training, headquartered at the university's new campus in Bac Ninh. Initially, the institute will focus on key industries that align with the current strengths of both the Group and the university, such as automation, mechanical engineering, and smart transportation.

The delegation of DEOCA Group visited Dong A University of Technology’s modern factory system and infrastructure.

Leveraging the potential and advantages of DEOCA Group and Dong A University of Technology, the institute is expected to expand its academic programs, aiming to become a leading training center in the country. Moreover, its vision is to become one of the top training institutions in Southeast Asia. As a result, the institute is expected to supply human resources internationally, meeting workforce demands from Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, and other countries.

As part of the cooperation, DEOCA is committed to share and contribute its research foundation, DEOCA’s treasure trove of practical knowledge, a clear system of methodologies and specialized training curricula, as well as a team of instructors comprising senior leaders of the Group. Additionally, the Group's nationwide network of practical training facilities will provide a professional and modern environment for students to participate in observation internships or full internships, helping them get familiar with real-world settings and enhance their skills and expertise.

Both parties agreed on key actions in the coming period, which include establishing and standardizing common operational regulations, accelerating the completion of legal documentation and the student recruitment process.

Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Thuan signed and presented specialized books as a gift to Mr. Ho Minh Hoang and DEOCA Group.

Together with DEOCA Practical Training Institute and DEOCA Practical Training Center, the Institute for Research and Advanced Training, in collaboration with Dong A University of Technology, aims to further affirm DEOCA Group’s sustainable development strategy, with a strong focus on training high-quality human resources equipped with practical competencies to serve society.

Dong A University of Technology currently enrolls around 15,000 students across 20 undergraduate programs and 2 master’s programs. In addition to offering various programs, with prominent strengths in mechanical engineering, automation, and high-tech engineering, the university operates a network of factories and manufacturing enterprises specializing in mechanical engineering, automation, and food production, ensuring that theoretical instruction is closely linked with practical training.

With nearly 20 years of development upholding the philosophy that “education should translate into employment”, Dong A University of Technology provides students with comprehensive training of both professional knowledge and practical skills, fostering their dynamism and confidence in integrating into the global community and ensuring they are well-prepared to excel in multidisciplinary and multicultural work environments.
