On April 3-4, at the Hanoi office, the opening ceremonies for two Chinese language communication training classes were held for 30 staff members from various levels of the Group. These are also the first two classes implemented internally within the Group, aimed at equipping participants with basic Chinese language skills to meet work requirements, as DEOCA Group seeks to strengthen international cooperation to support its activities in the upcoming period.

Opening of the first Chinese language communication training course, organized by the Group for learners.

The course comprises a total of 26 sessions, with two sessions per week, lasting approximately three months, and is divided into two classes of 15 learners each. The participants in this inaugural course include senior leaders, mid-level managers, and staff members whose roles involve extensive interaction with international partners.

The course is directly taught by two highly experienced instructors: Master Nghiem Thu Huong and Master Le Thi Ngoc Bich. Both are certified CTI instructors who have studied and worked in China for many years, possessing a deep understanding of the language and culture. With extensive experience in training, translation, interpretation, and teaching Chinese to various enterprises, universities, and international organizations, these instructors were selected for their expertise and practical teaching methods, which align with learners' needs for applying.

Based on the Group’s requirements, the classes are held immediately after working hours at the Group’s office, providing optimal conditions for learners to attend regularly and conveniently. The Group also specified the number of learners to ensure teaching quality and effective interaction between instructors and learners, as well as among learners themselves.

According to the training plan, the course content is structured into three phases: the basic phase (introduction to the Pinyin system and pronunciation practice), the thematic communication practice phase, and the advanced phase focusing on improving reflexes and confident communication. Besides the textbooks and basic materials, the course also incorporates videos, audio, and reflex practice exercises to help learners easily visualize, retain knowledge, and apply directly in daily communication.

The course is held after working hours, providing optimal conditions for learners to attend regularly.

Speaking here, Dr. Nguyen Quang Minh, Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department in charge of training at the Group, stated that the Chinese language course is part of a series of programs aimed at enhancing foreign language proficiency and developing supportive work skills to support the Group’s operations this year. Intending to enable learners to gain basic communication skills for interacting with Chinese partners, the course focuses on practical communication activities.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy, General Director of the Group and also a participant in this course, noted that learning a new language always presents initial challenges. However, the lesson content is relatively accessible, with clear guidance from instructors and immediate practice opportunities, which helped learners retain knowledge more effectively. “This learning experience will bring practical effectiveness, enabling participants to serve the Group’s operations better and expand their communication capabilities in an international business environment”, General Director Nguyễn Quang Huy emphasized.

Right after the opening ceremony, the learners began their first session, getting acquainted with the Chinese syllable system (Pinyin) and pronunciation, thereby establishing their learning approach. The class proceeded in a lively and open atmosphere, with enthusiastic participation from all learners.

Ms. Đang Thi Thuy Dung, a specialist from the Human Resources Department, shared: “At first, I was a bit worried because I had never been exposed to Chinese before, but the instructors created a quite relaxed atmosphere in the class, which helped me feel more confident when practicing pronunciation. The group activities also made the lessons dynamic and easy to understand. I found the way this class was organized very suitable for working professionals like me”.

The subsequent sessions will expand communication content based on specific topics, gradually increasing in difficulty and interaction levels. Each learner is encouraged to practice outside of class through assignments and online interaction groups.

The class proceeded vibrantly with numerous activities focused on practicing basic pronunciation.

This Chinese language communication course is one of the first initial activities under the Group’s 2025 plan to enhance language proficiency for staff at various levels of the Group. Previously, the Group had already implemented English proficiency enhancement courses tailored to different levels for employees, aimed at bolstering foreign language skills for work purposes and improving employees’ adaptability in line with the Group’s strategy to expand its international strategy.
