Ham Yen Bridge is in Tuyen Quang province and belongs to Package XL24. This is the largest bridge structure in the project, constructed using balanced cantilever casting technology implemented by DEOCA Group. At present, the main structural elements of the bridge have been completed. This ensures that the bridge will be fully finished by December 19, in accordance with the Prime Minister's directive.

The units are currently mobilizing 340 officers, engineers, and workers, along with 120 machines and equipment. They are implementing round-the-clock construction. The output achieved value has reached 360/532 billion VND, equivalent to 68% of the package volume.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Duc Tranh - Director of the XL24 Package Management Board - stated: “Package XL24 includes 22 bridge structures distributed along the entire 77 km route. This requires synchronized coordination and scientific construction organization. Despite facing numerous difficulties, the entire staff and workers have relentlessly strived to accelerate progress. Today's closure event of the Ham Yen Bridge marks the efforts of the contractor consortium in overcoming difficulties”.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Tan Dong commended the spirit of solidarity and the efforts of the collective officers, engineers, and workers at the project. Thanks to this, the Ham Yen Bridge project has overcome many challenges, such as site clearance, complex terrain and geology, and especially severe rain, floods, and natural disasters. The project has adhered closely to the schedule while ensuring absolute safety.

“We will continue to coordinate closely with relevant units, mobilize maximum resources, and improve construction efficiency to complete the remaining categories. We are determined to achieve the goal of opening the route by December 19, as committed. At the same time, we will ensure safety and project quality. Thereby, we aim to bring the project to an early completion, contributing to the sustainable development of the locality”, said Mr. Nguyen Tan Dong.

Leaders of Investment and Construction Works Management Board No. 1 and leaders of DEOCA Group presented gifts and encouraged staff at the project.

The Ham Yen Bridge closure event is an important milestone in the implementation process of Package XL24 in particular and the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project in general. It affirms the determination to complete on schedule, contributing to realizing the Prime Minister's directive on the goal of opening 3,000 km of expressways in 2025.

The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project holds significant transportation importance, serving as a vital artery for economic, political, national defense, and security purposes. It realizes the aspirations of ethnic people in border areas. Upon completion, the route will contribute to forming an economic development corridor from the Red River Delta region to Tuyen Quang. This will unblock economic flows and improve the living standards of people in the northern midland and mountainous regions.
