According to the plan, Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway Project has started asphalt paving to ensure the open schedule by the end of this year.

At the end of August 2020, at package XL04 (Than Cuu Nghia intersection, Tien Giang province), the contractor carried out paving the first meters of asphalt concrete of Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway project.

Although the project activities have to face many difficulties due to drought, saline intrusion which leading to material scarcity in the entire southwestern region and the negative impact of COVID-19 pandemic, the related parties have overcome and maintained construction progress, ensuring connection schedule by the end of this year as the direction of the Prime Minister.

On the Lunar New Year to celebrate the spring of Tan Suu 2021, western people can see Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway share traffic burden with National Highway 1 when serving cars with less than 16 seats, vehicles under 2.5 tons for free.
