Currently, the contractor and construction units are accelerating the progress to complete the first tunnel through the mountain in Quang Ninh by the end of this year.

Since the tunnel construction is more complicated, the tunnel opening location is always in the middle of the mountain. The tunnel through the mountains of the Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road project is located on the mountainside, so the structure is not stable and solid; Not to mention the limestone area here has many caster caves. Many sections are located on the mountainside, so the cover (the length from the roof of the tunnel to the top of the mountain) is only about 40m, making the structure much weaker than the tunnel through the middle of the mountain.
