Currently, the Covid-19 epidemic in Tien Giang province is quite complicated. More than 10 workers of Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway project were positive for SARS-CoV-2, and more than 200 officials and employees had to quarantine in centralized facilities.

Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway Project Management Board said that two packages XL-11A and XL-13 are being blocked because some workers are positive for Covid-19.

However, to keep all activities at the project continuously, a team of Deo Ca Group was sent from the areas that were not affected by the epidemic, filling in the positions that are being quarantined.

The project enterprise has directed contractors and consultants to zone the epidemic areas, arrange appropriate personnel, increase equipment to work three shifts per day, ensuring the technical open of the project in November 2021.

Currently, the total volume of the project has reached 70%. There are 32.5/40 km of the main route ready for unloading, of which, 29/40 km has finished unloading. About the upper part of K98, the first layer has completed 24/45 km, the second layer has completed 20/45 km, besides, also basically completed 39/39 bridges on the main route, finishing the railings.
