Approaching the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway saw a gradual rise in traffic in both directions, peaking on December 28 (Lunar calendar) with over 40,700 vehicles passing through.

A representative stated that on December 23, vehicle numbers on the Trung Luong - My Thuan route surged to 30,900, up by 10,000 from the usual 21,000. Traffic later peaked at 40,729 on December 28, surpassing the 2023 Lunar New Year peak of 39,000 trips.

Although vehicle traffic increased, the traffic situation on the route remained stable

Despite the heavy traffic volume, the Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway remains congestion-free. Toll stations at Than Cuu Nghia, Cai Lay, Cai Be, and An Thai Trung are equipped with fast automatic toll systems, taking just 3 seconds per vehicle. To accommodate Tet holiday traffic, the management has boosted staff at entry and exit points for efficient traffic management.
