On December 31, 2021, Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee coordinated with BOT Trung Luong - My Thuan to conduct an assessment to evaluate the quality and progress of Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway project. Participating in the assessment were representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the Provincial People's Council, representatives of the Department of Transport, the PMU and other relevant departments of Tien Giang province.

The mission carried out a survey of the entire route from Than Cuu Nghia intersection (project starting point) to An Thai Trung intersection (project end point). At the project site, the representative of Trung Luong - My Thuan BOT Joint Stock Company (Project Enterprise) - General Director Nguyen Tan Dong gave a brief report on the progress of the project.

Up to this point, after more than 2.5 years of receiving, Deo Ca Group has managed to complete about 90% of the volume. The last kilometers of the road are being asphalted, the traffic safety systems, lighting, etc. are being urgently constructed The project received the support of the people, the attention and direction of the Government, Ministries and Tien Giang province to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles. More than 1,000 officials, engineers and workers are also working day and night to complete the project as soon as possible.

Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway on the last day of 2021

Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway has nearly 40km going through weak ground area that need to be treated. The project enterprise has invited experts to research and select optimal technical solutions to meet project technical standards, shortening the schedule. In order to solve the problem of scarce raw materials and the increase of prices, the project enterprise actively searched for suppliers and signed price stabilization contracts. Contractors with poor construction capacity and lack of financial capacity are also replaced by qualified contractors.

When the Covid-19 epidemic broke out, the project enterprise actively worked with the authorities to distribute vaccine to all employees. In addition, when investors and contractors did not have enough capital to implement, Deo Ca Group advanced 500 billion dong so as not to affect the overall progress.

Up to now, the project of toll collection for Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway has not been approved, so the collection of tolls for the payback of the Trung Luong - My Thuan project will not be possible.

The project enterprise said that it has submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Transport to soon have a toll collection mechanism for the project to be put into operation, exploitation, effective promotion and ensuring the interests of the people.
