On February 14th, 2019, the inauguration ceremony of campus expansion and replanting was taken place at the Ho Great Clan Ancestral House located in Quynh Doi Commune, Quynh Luu District, Nghe An Province.

This is a national historical monument, a convergence place of Ho’s descendants throughout the country. Also on this occasion, the Civil Affair Committee of Ho Great Clan of Quynh Doi coordinated with Deo Ca Group to hold the Ho’s traditional exchange program with the topic: “Turn to original point”. This is the beauty of traditional culture of “when drinking water, think of its source” of the Ho Clan so far.

Proceeding to the merit contributions of the previous people, with the gratitude of his ancestors, the Chairman Ho Minh Hoang of Deo Ca Group donated funding for construction and expansion of Ancestral House’s campus and tree planting.
Ho Clan Ancestral House, one of the eight national historical monuments, this plot of land is located in the South of the village. This is one of the three families deserved well in development and construction of a village rich in cultural and historical traditions

Commenced at the beginning of the fourteenth century, Mr. Ho Kha, an official of the Tran dynasty when he came back to see the landscape in the region with feng shui “Holy Land, Preeminent Talent”. In 1378, Mr. Ho Kha assigned his eldest son, namely Ho Hong together with Mr. Nguyen Thac and Mr. Hoang Khanh to return to develop and found the village with the original name of “Tho Doi”.
By 1528, Mr. Ho Nhan Hy renamed Tho Doi into Quynh Doi village, now called Quynh Doi commune.

From the ancient times, Quynh Doi is famous as the land of graduation achievements, the with the popular song: “Bac Ha - Hanh Thien; Hoan Dien - Quynh Doi”, “Nam Hanh Thien, Nghe Quynh Doi” or “Quynh Village has a lot of graduated men/Mr. Nghe, Mr. Cu as the bachelors like flowers in Quynh garden”. Cultural writer Hoang Xuan Han wrote the preface to the book of Dai Nam Quoc Su Dien Ca, as follows: “Quynh Village is the most literary village in the country from Le Trung Hung’s Dynasty onwards”.
For 640 years, the Ho Great Clan family has generated many famous people who made their history, contributing to the glorious pages of their homeland. They are Ho Thom (Nguyen Hue - Emperor Quang Trung 1753 - 1792), Lady Princess of the Nom poem Ho Xuan Huong (1772 - 1822); Tam Giap Si Ho Si Duong (1622 - 1681, served as mandarin of the four Le dynasties), Nhi Giap Si Ho Phi Tich (1665 - 1734, served as mandarin up to the title of the Binh Bo Thuong Thu), Tham Tung (Prime Minister) Ho Si Dong (1738- 1785), Junior Doctor Ho Ba On (1842 - 1883) has a grandson who is the revolutionary Ho Tung Mau and many other famous people in the Ho Chi Minh era.
Ho Great Clan’s Ancestral House Campus
The campus of the Ho Great Clan’s Ancestral House has two statues of King Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue and Poetess Ho Xuan Huong - two prominent characters of the 12th family of this “famous family”, taken care of by their descendants every day, in thoughtful incense smoke.
As a customary practice, on the 11th - 12th days of January of the lunar calendar every year, the descendants of the Ho Clan from all over the country gather at the Ancestral House to attend the ancestor sacrifices. The sacrifice is held solemnly for expressing of respect, and commemorating of Ancestors. It is not only the ancestor sacrifice, but also an occasion to honor individuals who have contributed and brought fame to their family.
Spring becomes a meaningful grateful occasion.
