On the evening of January 12th, in Lang Son, DEOCA Group hosted a gala dinner to welcome the Year of the Snake 2025, themed “A journey of Overcoming challenges”, to express gratitude to employees across the three regions, as well as to partners and friends who have accompanied the Group throughout the past year.

The event was attended by over 800 guests, including government agencies, partner enterprises, experts, entrepreneurs, artists, and others who have supported the Group over the years. The Group's internal attendees included the full leadership team, the Advisory Council, and exemplary representatives of staff and employees from offices and project sites across the country.

Opening performance

In his opening speech at the Gala evening, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, expressed his gratitude to the Advisory Council, the entire workforce across the system, and the associates and partners who have steadfastly accompanied and contributed to DEOCA’s success in 2024.

According to Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, DEOCA Group overcame numerous challenges in 2024, turning adversity into opportunity and gradually affirming its pioneering position in Vietnam's transportation infrastructure sector.

Looking back at the past year, DEOCA Group successfully completed several significant projects despite difficulties: the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao Expressway and the Prenn Pass road, the widest and most beautiful in the country, were completed on schedule, and the Binh Minh Bridge – an architectural masterpiece on Cua Luc Bay (Quang Ninh) – was put into operation, stimulating tourism for the Ha Long Bay heritage region.

Also in 2024, DEOCA People continued to leave their mark on a series of key project sites from the North to the South, notably the Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway, Huu Nghi - Chi Lang, Hoa Binh - Moc Chau, Khe Net Railway Tunnel, Dai Ngai Bridge 1...; while also making diligent efforts with a “3 shifts, 4 teams” work ethic at bustling construction sites of the North-South Expressway: Ha Giang - Tuyen Quang, Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon, Chi Thanh - Van Phong, Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot, as well as the Long Thanh Airport Project, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa, HCMC Ring Road 3...

“DEOCA Group does not just stop at building roads, bridges, or tunnels through mountains. We build the belief that Vietnamese people can conquer great heights with their own hands and minds”, said Mr. Ho Minh Hoang.

Beyond the immense volume of workload that has been and is being accomplished, DEOCA Group is also expanding international cooperation, focusing on comprehensive human resource training to fullly prepare for future high-speed railway and metro projects, which affirms DEOCA's spirit of continuous learning and relentless striving for advancement.

“The path we are taking is one of serving the interests of the nation and its people. This is the mission we always strive towards”, the Chairman of DEOCA Group affirmed.

Speaking at the gala event, Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, commended the “working through holidays and Tet” spirit of the workers and engineers at the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang and Dong Dang - Tra Linh construction sites.

In particular, to express gratitude for the persistent efforts of DEOCA Group throughout its journey of accompanying the government and people of Cao Bang province, Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh expressed his desire to name a mountain tunnel segment on the Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway “DEOCA Tunnel”.

“The name 'DEOCA Tunnel' stands as the symbol of the spirit of overcoming challenges, creativity, and the unwavering determination of thousands of officials, engineers, and workers who have worked day and night to break rocks and pave the way for DEOCA”, said the Chairman of Cao Bang province.

During the gala dinner, DEOCA Group honored and rewarded outstanding employees, colletives, and individuals with innovative initiatives, excellent achievements in production and labor, as well as in organizational activities and movements, recognized the contributions of those individuals who have been associated with and accompanied the Group throughout its 40-year journey.

Also at the event, DEOCA Group honored the painters and musicians who have followed, shown interest in and responded to the Group's art competitions, understanding and contributing to the dissemination of the positive values that the enterprise brings to the people and society.

The warm and vibrant atmosphere of the gala evening dispelled the biting cold of the spring night in the mountainous Lang region. DEOCA People and their friends gathered, arm in arm, singing the lyrics of “Road Builder”, “Deo Ca People”, “When the fatherland needs”, and “Vietnamese aspiration” ...

Together, they reviewed the prominent milestones of 2024, recognized and drew valuable lessons to prepare for a new spring, marking the beginning of a promising new era for the enterprise, in the new era of the Vietnamese nation.
