At the event, Mr. Duong The Anh, Chairman of the college council and President of the Central College of Transport 1, shared the institution's development over the past 56 years. From its challenging early days to its current standing, the institution now has nearly 200 lecturers and more than 2,000 students enrolled in various training programs.

"We’ve successfully trained more than 10,000 students over the years and have contributed significantly to developing human resources for the transport infrastructure sector," Mr. The Anh noted.

Mr. Duong The Anh - Chairman of the college council and President of the college, showed strong expectations for the partnership with the Group.

He also expressed high expectations for a long-term partnership with DEOCA Group, which would provide students with opportunities for internships and real-world applications of their academic knowledge through DEOCA Group’s major projects.

Likewise, Chairman of the Board of Directors Ho Minh Hoang emphasized that the collaboration would not only help the company reach a young workforce but also foster innovation in training methods and curricula to improve output quality.

“Schools and businesses must pave the way for young people. This collaboration helps the college attract students by offering them internships and job opportunities at DEOCA, especially with our increased workload,” Mr. Hoang stated.

Regarding DEOCA’s human resource development strategy, Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy, General Director of DEOCA Group, announced the company’s plan to recruit around 1,400 workers in 2025 to meet labor demands for major national transport projects.

He also revealed that DEOCA is planning to develop a high-quality workforce in preparation for the North-South high-speed railway and urban railway projects in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

“In our development plan through 2030, we aim to build a professional team, with the goal of recruiting 1,000 to 1,500 employees annually,” Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy affirmed.

DEOCA Group has proposed a cooperation orientation to implement "Hands-on workers" and "Practical engineers" training programs, with an annual enrollment target of 500 to 1,000 students. The "Practical engineers" program is designed for graduates of the "Hands-on workers" program. Outstanding students who graduate on schedule and commit to working at DEOCA will receive sponsorship.

“This is a crucial step in aligning the college’s training programs with enterprise needs, thereby creating a high-quality workforce that meets current labor market demands,” Mr. Duong The Anh emphasized.

Career guidance for young people

During the program, students and representatives from both the college and DEOCA Group engaged in a career-oriented discussion on working environments, recruitment criteria, and the Group’s support policies.

The students engaged in a career-oriented dialogue and sharing session.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Ho Minh Hoang said that all career opportunities at DEOCA are based on individual ability and work ethic. Interns can gain access to a professional work environment and practical experience.

“At DEOCA, we value attitude over aptitude, especially among the young generation,” he emphasized.

In response to a question about access to technology during internships, including construction testing, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang affirmed that DEOCA has invested heavily in technology over the past decade, particularly in materials testing. However, he stressed that human capacity remains the core factor in successfully applying technology.

Mr. Ho Minh Hoang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of DEOCA Group, shared ways to shape career paths with students and emphasized the Group’s philosophy of "Utilizing - Valuing" in evaluating and utilizing personnel.

He also suggested establishing a research lab at the college so students could keep up with real-time developments at DEOCA's construction sites.
